Scrambling to his B-Wing, Gabriel powered up the craft & flew up from the ground & out of the hanger wit hthe other fighters.
As the amassed group of Fighters started to rally to attack the Super Star Destroyer, on his own as a pilot he wasn't very confident, but with a fighter squadron, he was as confident as his father on a dig.
As the ifghters drew closer, those with S=Foils started to open, seeing as his B-Wing was an S-foil craft, Gabriel pressed the command to move the B-Wing into atack position, as the switch was pressed, the main body of the craft lowered into position & the blaster arms moved into position.
"Ebon Hawk, ready for action."
As the fighters drew closer, they saw the sight of enemy TIE fighters approch to intercept, as the craft started to exchange blaster fire, Gabriel pushed down on the firing hammers on his control stick, orange & green energy bolts being exhcanged between the craft until near collsision with each other, at that point the fighters broke formation & started to turn & attempt to tail a fighter, wither it's Jedi on TIE or TIE on Jedi.
Gabriel in this instance was 'Jedi on TIE' Matching move for move the Tie made unti he was steady enough for a clear shot at the TIE, firing at the spheretical compartment between the wings, the resulting explosion sent the wings flying in opposite direction away from each other,
"Some of them just never learn do they?"
That was before he noticed a volley of green bolts fly past, now he was the one being tailed,
"Oh man, this can't get any worse. Can it?"
Gabriel then threw the Hawk into a flurry of evasive manouvers, swirvs, sudden turns, even a roll or 2, but the TIEs were on him like glue, all he oculd hope for was for another fighter to pick them off,
"This the the Ebon Hawk, I get a TIE on me, get him off my back!"
As the adrenaline raising announcement came up over the intercom Mahtan suddenly lost his goofy mood and switched to a full intending attitude towards what would be happening next. As some people scramble immediately as told others stayed a few extra seconds when the image of Grand Moff Tarkin first appeared on screen. Mahtan was one of those.
'That dirty...' Mahtan thought as Grand Moff began to speak, but he stopped himself before he let anything get the better of him.
Ignoring the rest of the transmission Mahtan headed for his V-19 Torrent starfighter. Now wishing he had stayed at the back of the room he maneuvered his way around chairs and people. Bolting down the wide corridor he had just been running down not too long ago memories of the unexpected attack on his home world of Bakura started coming back. The Ssi-ruuk had been unbelievably cruel to the residents of the planet and had lived up well to their stature.
Shaking off the thoughts and memories Mahtan knew this was different. He had been a small child when those sudden attacks had come and wasn’t able to do anything but watch, hide, and hope for the best. But now Mahtan could do something and was going to.
Emerging out into the hanger bay that his V-19 was parked at, still running, Mahtan entered a sequence of numbers into his wrist communicator much like he had before leaving for Yavin. As he continued to race towards Black Corona the ship began to slowly life off the floor of the hanger, sliding canopy still open. As his ship slowly began to rotate towards the entrance/exit of the hanger Mahtan reached a distance from the craft he was hoping for. At a still low enough height Mahtan leaped onto the left side of the canopy with the help of the force. Noting that many other starships were prepping and leaving as well, he realized that he may not be able to just fly out right away. But none the less he moved quickly into the pilot’s seat, sat down, and prepared to unfold the airfoils as soon as he was outside and had the space. As the canopy slid shut Mahtan strapped himself in. After waiting for a pair of X-Wings to clear the hanger he was out.
Now out just barely beyond the temple Mahtan engaged the airfoils and they began their decent from a vertical position to their diagonal position below the hull of the craft. Along with the airfoils the back tail fin and attached thruster folded down to its opposite flight position.
With the craft headed for the edges of the atmosphere and the location of the beginning battle Mahtan quickly strapped on a communications head-set and engaged the thrusters to move on out as fast as he could.

The beeps and whines of a computer dashboard awakens Crukai from his sleep. He yawns and stretches his arms as he glances at the computer read outs. He was getting close to Yavin IV, in fact, he'd be there in a matter of minutes.
Crukai glances at his watch to check his time, he had been in flight for several hours now and had gotten the chance to have plenty of rest. He reaches his hand beneath his seat and scuffles around till he finds a cantine bottle. He pulls it out and unfastens the lid.
As Crukai chugs on the bottle of water, his ship leaves hyper-space and what was nothing but blurry lines of stars, he could now see an entire armada of star ships before him. Nearly choking on the water, Crukai drops the cantine to the side and grabs the stick, "Whoa!" He pulls the ship in a near 180, and allows himself to get some distance. The main destroyer that he found himself staring at... it had to rival anything the empire ever built...
"What is this?" He whispers as he skates around the darkside of Yavin, trying to keep below any radar detection. A loud continious beep goes off, "Oh great..." Crukai whispers.
A small, nimble looking fighter vessel whips around Crukai's flank and trails him, firing blaster shots from time to time. Crukai darts his ship from side to side, making careful movements in order to avoid being an easy target. He had no idea exactly what was going on, but somehow... he got dragged into some elses battle.
The expression upon Aaron’s face barely changed as the dire message played itself out, his eyes fixed upon the holographic image of one of the galaxies infamously homicidal imperials. He coughed slightly as his legs took him from the seated position to a stand, moving with a significant lack of chaotic haste whirling around the Jedi. Of course, then he broke into a run.
Already given a powerful pair of legs by rigorous training and self-inflicted hardships, with the Force at his heels and the threat to his Order driving him on, the knight’s speed was breathtaking. It was a feat that many Jedi could accomplish. His heavily tattooed form blurred as he dashed past several indistinct figures, the distortion creating the illusion that the snake symbols upon his back were writhing and trailing from the Jedi as he swept past.
The hangar bay reared up like some gargantuan maw ahead of Aaron as he darted forwards, the sounds of X-Wings and TIE fighters alike blaring in his ears as the Jedi manned their stations and crafts to defend their homes, friends and heritage. The world shifted back into focus both to Aaron and those watching his speedy exit, the edges of his vision shuddering as he instantly adjusted to the change in velocity, still running but at a far more natural speed.
However neither Aaron or any onlookers had time to stand and wait, for the Jedi knight sprung, the muscles in his legs rippling as he launched himself from the bay’s floor and into the air. The force aided him once more; his jump pushed on by the invisible intervention and sending him into a long, unbelievably long leap.
With a sharp clang the Jedi landed upon his own X-Wing, just above the cockpit and perched in a catlike, agile crouch. A flick of his wrist was answered by the hissing of the Ebon Serpent’s cockpit steadily opening, the Jedi sliding into his seat within the fighter and closing the overhead, transparent hatch above him. His fingers glided across the controls, the luminous, hypnotic blue flaring of the activating engines humming reassuringly.
At his command the Ebon Serpent let forth a ground-shaking roar, the engines bellowing as they propelled the light craft upwards, shooting into the atmosphere much like an arrow loosed from a bow, and sailing into the cold reaches of space to catch up with the other X-Wings, combat almost upon them and a swarm of TIE Interceptors creeping over the sensors like a blanket of blips…
When the command was given, Kali pressed the button that would lock the S-foils of the Outsider into attack position. She was flying in formation through the upper atmosphere of Yavin, just behind Gavriel, towards the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer that awaited them. Taking a deep breath, she let it out slowly, reaching out with the Force towards Gav, opening her side of their connection.
Gavriel had just primed up the concussion missile launcher when he felt a calmness reach across to him. His Force connection with Kali. Taking a breath and letting the Force flow, he allowed his connection to open, yet kept his eyes open as the huge, black mammoth warship seemed to almost dwarf the Yavin planet as it floated inbetween the jungle moon and the huge orange primary. One of the fighters came over the comline. "Look at the size of that thing!" Gav came on next. "Keep the line clear for communcations, not comments. Green Group, stick close to holding sector NB-7. Put your deflectors on, double front. This is it." As Gavriel looked out the circular viewport of his TIE Advanced, he could see the cloud of chaos surrounding the beast of a Star Destroyer. "Get ready to break on my signal. Green 2 and 3, stay in attack formation with me." Over the Force connection Gavriel sent calmness towards Kali. "There is no death . . ." Kali finished the saying for him over their connection. "There is only the Force..." Through their connection, it brought her calmness and strength. It brought Gav the calmness and control he needed. Plus, it made them nearly unstoppable as a fighter team. She blew out a breath and reached forward, flicking on her deflectors, and powering up the lasers. They were quickly closing in on the swarm surrounding the monstrosity hovering above their planet. She slid into position easily on Gav's right, Green 3 on Gav's left.
A TIE Interceptor flew past Gavriel's ship followed closely by an A-Wing. "Alright, we're in the swarm.' Gavriel thought to himself. "Alright Green Group break formation. Green 2, Green 3, stay with me. Their main weapon is the superlaser at the front of the ship, if we can destroy or disable it, it'll defang this leviathan." Kali quickly came on over the comm. "Enemy fighters coming in a point-two-zero...." Gavriel looked out the transparisteel viewpanels he had installed near the opening hatch. Originally, the front viewpanel was the only way to see out, with Gav's modifications, a greater view has been provided. Looking at the direction Kali pointed out, Gavriel gave the signal. "Break formation, pick your targets and go we'll meet at the superlaser." On his radar, Gavriel saw the two other craft break formation and move away. Gavriel took a breath and found a TIE to engage on his own. Kali broke away from the formation when Gav gave the signal. They were on the outskirts of the swarm of fighters but quickly made it towards the interior. Kali spiraled down, picking out a TIE fighter in her sights. She waited for the exact moment that he juked into her cross hairs and pressed down on the triggers, sending a volley of lasers his way. The TIE exploded in a spectacular show of sparks and fire that Kali plowed through and sped up to find the next enemy.
Gavriel watched as his target seemed to welcome him at first. He must think I'm part of the group. Like I'd fight for a greasy Hutt. Maybe if you were Imperial . . ." Gavriel locked onto the TIE Interceptor and opened fire, the green streaks shot past as the TIE suddenly veered to the left. Gavriel recognized the speed having seen it done before. He then thumbed the comline. "Attention Green Group, these are the Mk II Interceptors, try not to rely on shields as much as speed to avoid enemy fire." Kali gave a mental nod to Gav as she heard his warning over the comlink. She was currently using whatever speed she could drain out of the Outsider to avoid being shot down by an enemy fighter hot on her tail. Biting her lower lip, Kali let herself sink just that much deeper into the Force... She dipped low and flipped the craft over, dropping her speed incredibly fast. Enough that the G-force pulled her against her restraints just a bit before the anti-grav caught up. Pulling another loop she came up on the TIE's tail and let loose with her lasers.
Gavriel continued following his TIE Interceptor daiving almost sraight downward towards the Destroyer itself. Ah, looking to get the turbolasers there to take me off your tail." It was a smart move, but one Gavriel was not about to have happen. Gavriel linked the laserfire to repeating and fired again, this time forming a line of green laserfire sweeping down until it struck the Interceptor's right solarpanel sending the craft down to strike the hull of the Destroyer. Kali swept up on the underside of a TIE that was shooting at an A-Wing, taking him out with her lasers. She juked around the wreckage and sped towards the giant superlaser that was supposed to be their meeting point. Gavriel had just shot down another TIE Interceptor before turning to head for the front of the Destroyer, where the superlaser was held. A TIE Interceptor flew up and in front of Gavriel as if presenting a willing sacrifice. These guys sure aren't Imperial Pilots. What is this guy thinking?" Gavriel fired his twin cannons destroying the TIE. Nearly 2 miles away the front of the Destroyer loomed, and with it, the Superlaser. No guarantee their weapons could break the laser cannon itself, but something had to be tried.
Here is a picture and the full information on the ESSD. Please use it as a refrence for all posts concerning it. Note, the superlaser is housed in the front. You can see it in the pic. It is the red square in the front.
Kyle and Katrina were waiting for the battle to began, and it did as the TIE Interceptor Mk IIs began attacking the Jedi fighters which rose to attack the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer. It had finally began, and Kyle's anticipation was over. He was ready to fight like he was in his Rogue Squadron days. However, having first-hand experience with the TIE Interceptor Mk IIs from the Battle of Kegan (the very same battle where Kasan was shot down), Kyle thought he should inform Jaina about the TIE Interceptor Mk II's true capabilities. "Jaina, this is Kyle. Do you copy?" Kyle said through his com-link. Jaina nodded to herself as she pulled up under him, "Yeah Kyle... Right under you." "Good to hear. Listen to me carefully, Jaina. These TIE Interceptors aren't your average TIE Interceptors. They are the new TIE Interceptor Mk IIs. Kasan, Katrina and I had fought them before at Kegan, they are good. They have shields and more powerful lasers, so use speed instead of your shields to fight these guys. But double the forward deflectors, just in case if they do hit you." Kyle advised. She rolled her eyes slightly, he sounded like Jacen, "Kyle, I know what I'm going up against. Remember, Gav has something like that... A TIE with shields." Kyle lets out a sigh, in front of him he could already see Gavriel's Green Group engaging the TIE Interceptor Mk IIs. "Right, I just don't want you to get cocky because you mistake them for the older TIE Interceptors. Besides, I don't want anything to happen to the astromech on your X-Wing, it ain't yours." Kyle replied. Soon enough, the TIE Interceptors went into attack them as well. One of the TIE Interceptors got on the tail of the B-Wing Ebon Hawk. "I'm going to help Gabriel out." Kyle spoke through his com-link, then broke Starlight Wizard to the left quickly.
Jaina nodded, "I'm going to find Jacen... We work well as a team and no one can take us out without a fight." Kyle tracked down the TIE Interceptor that was attacking Gabriel's B-Wing as the Starlight Wizard prepared to pounce on the TIE. Now, the predator had turned prey as Kyle had the TIE on his sights. When he heard Jaina's voice over the com, he simply nodded too. "You do that, Jaina. Kat and I would team up as well. We once nearly wipe out a squadron of pirates before." Kyle spoke as he kept on that TIE Interceptor Mk II while it fired upon the Ebon Hawk. "Double the power of forward deflectors, Jake." Kyle instructed. Jake responded with a few beeps, and the forward deflectors of Starlight Wizard went up. He closed in upon that TIE and fired a few shots at it. "Ebon Hawk, this is the Starlight Wizard. Hang in there, I'm getting this Imperial chump off your tail." Kyle announced as he now pursued the TIE Interceptor Mk II in front of him.
Jacen meanwhile got himself tangled with two TIE Interceptor Mk IIs in front of him, both of them went head on against his X-Wing. He avoided their shots smoothly, although he did took some hits himself. "Dang, these TIEs packed more of a punch than I thought." Jacen muttered. The next thing he knew shards of metal and smoke came flying up from the back of him, followed by his sister's voice over the com, "You best be watching behind you there Jacen... That one almost took you out." Jacen was a bit startled when he saw debris flying from behind him, particularly a TIE Interceptor's solar panel. "Right, as if I'm that helpless." Jacen shot back a bit. Breaking hard to the right, Jacen avoided another TIE which came at him head on and fired. After that TIE had overshot his X-Wing, Jacen dipped his X-Wing down after rolling until his craft was upside down. By the time he finished his loop, Jacen was flying normally again and now behind the TIE which had just shot at him. He tracked it down and fired against it, and he wasn't surprised by not taking it down in a few hits because he heard Kyle warning Jaina that these TIEs had shields. Jacen kept at the TIE and fired a bit more until it was blown to smithereens. He went for another TIE which was about to go for Jaina and fired at it, this caused the TIE to turn towards Jacen's X-Wing and fired at it. Jacen gracefully dodged the shots, took another hit though, as he grunted from the shuddering of his X-Wing's cockpit. Jacen snapped around to chase it, kept chasing it with lasers blazing until he had taken it down.
Jaina finally got a good look at the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer and gasped, "Look at that thing Jay... It's huge!" She took a shot at one of the TIE's and tried to take it down. Her shots kept bouncing off and she started to get frusterated. The Force shook around her and she heard Jacen's voice come over the com. "Heh, and you were sounding so cocky to Kyle when he warned you about these new TIEs...." Jacen spoke over the com-link. However, the smile on his face was suddenly wiped off when he got a glimpse of that Star Destroyer as well. "I'd never seen a Star Destroyer this big before, Jaina." Jacen added. Meanwhile, Kyle had been chasing the TIE off Gabriel's Ebon Hawk, the TIE tried to evade the Starlight Wizard by pulling up with and braked. Kyle knew what he was going to do, and followed up with a downward loop so that he wouldn't get tailed by the TIE. The TIE pilot was surprised to see Kyle's X-Wing flying towards it head on with lasers blazing. The TIE returned fire, scoring a few hits on the charcoal gray X-Wing. They both over shot each other. The TIE went upwards to get Kyle in his sights, but the trick was on him as Kyle flipped his X-Wing upside down, then did a downward loop which allowed him to get into the TIE's tail. Once he had the TIE in sight, Kyle administered the coup de grace with a few burst of lasers, destroying the TIE. "Imperial chump." Kyle taunted.
Katrina was busying herself with TIE Interceptors as soon as the other fighters engaged. This was her second time facing the TIE Interceptor Mk IIs since Kegan, and the first time as Katrina Landoran rather than Cleo Essa. She admired how the Solo Twins worked together, and knew full well that the Landoran Twins could do just the same. Kyle and Katrina's teamwork skills were battle-proven. She had taken down her third TIE when she saw Kyle taking down yet another TIE Interceptor in front of him. She decided to help out. "Kyle, this is Kat. Mind if we take them on together?" Katrina said over her com. "Sure thing, Kat. This would be fun." Kyle replied. Soon, Kyle's X-Wing and Katrina's E-Wing flew together, taking the fight to the TIEs as they both went in with lasers blazing. Katrina took a TIE Interceptor head on and fired, while Kyle looped around another to attack it from its back. Katrina's target overshot her, and she made a graceful turn which got her behind and above the TIE, attacking it from an angle. Kyle had the TIE in his sights and fired, using the Force to slow down time so that he would get more shots in. It didn't take too long before the TIE was destroyed right in front of him. Katrina had overshot her target after she had managed to land some hits on it, causing the TIE to tail her as green laser blasts began to pour at her. Tack began to beep warnings as her E-Wing took a few hits. "Kyle! I got one on my tail!" Katrina called out to her brother with the comm. Kyle heard it, alright, and headed towards the TIE that was chasing his sister's E-Wing. He focused with the Force to slow down time and fired upon the TIE until it finally exploded. "Thanks, Kyle. I thought I was toasted." Katrina said. "Don't worry, Kat. I won't lose you, and neither will I lose Kasan." Kyle replied.
Once Gav gave the order for them to break attack formation Renn went looking for enemies.
"Are we up against that thing?!" Renn demaned after seeing the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, forgetting that the channel was to be kept open for communications not comments. "Are you insane?!"
He then got a TIE lined up in his sites and started to fire upon it, rapidly, non-stop. His teeth were bared as he continued to his assault on the poor craft. Then finally it exploded. Once he was finished with that TIE he felt the Silver Warrior shudder. He looked at his radar just as his droid told him,
WE HAVE AN ENEMY CRAFT ON OUR TAIL!
"No really? Like I didn't know that! Where would I be without you?!"
THIS IS NO TIME FOR SARCASM.
"This is the perfect time for sarcasm!" Renn then began to put on some evasive maneuvers. "Hang on, I'll lose this guy."
Every maneuver he made the TIE was able to keep up with him. He felt his X-wing shudder again as he was shot again and the droid let out a shrill scream of terror from behind him. His shields were down at 80%.
"This is Green Three-gah!-I have an enemy on my tail! I can't shake him! I repeat I can't shake him!" He released a torrent of strong, Corellian curses. "My shields are down to 79%. Look for a silver XJ X-wing."
He still tried to lose the TIE but no matter what he did it still managed to stay on his tail. A shock ran over Renn as he finally realized he may not come out of this one alive.

A well of panic began to rise within Orun. The sudden appearance of the super star destroyer Eclipse above Yavin was enough to send the chill of fear into every Jedi present in the room. If it wasn't for Orun's Jedi training, he probably would have cowered in hole in the vast jungle and hope with every fiber of his being that he would not die this day.
But, the time for fear was not here and not now. Fear was a Dark Side trait and Orun quickly threw away the temptation to run. Instead he performed a quick relaxation technique to calm his mind and clear his thoughts. It was time to defend his home.
As the other Jedi leaped into action, Orun nodded to Master Luke who nodded back. Orun was no skilled pilot, like most of the rest of the Jedi, so as the others were quickly launching their fighters, Orun headed for the Academy control tower to coordinate defenses of the base.
Located high above at the very peak of the Great Temple was the control tower. The tower held several highly advanced computers and sensory equipment that tracked any space craft overhead and provided landing coordinates for incoming fighters. The equipment was rarely used now as Jedi did not rely on sophisticated computers but on the Force. The tower also controlled the two massive laser cannon implacements located on the perimeter of the Academy grounds. Two more old style ion cannons lay hidden beneath a thick blanket of vines and overgrowth, also located just outside the Academy grounds. Orun hoped they still worked.
Orun reached the main control panel and brought up the scanning system. Sure enough, the massive bulk of the Eclipse hung just overhead like a hungry rancor awaiting to reach out and grab its prey in a clawed hand. Orun watched the smaller blips of the Jedi fighters racing upwards to meet this monster head on. Alarmed, more and more blips appeared from the Eclipse like a swarm of angry Tattooine blood flies. TIE fighters.
Orun called up the tactical screen. He activated the perimeter weapons and was relieved that the laser cannons were still powered. One ion cannon was also ready, but the second ion was having problems swiveling on its base to aim upwards. Orun glanced out the tower window and saw from afar that the cannon was being held back by a thick growth of vines. It would have to be cleared manually.
Orun grabbed a microphone and spoke rapidly to the Jedi fighters. "Echo base to fighters, ground defense has been activated. Watch yourselves."
The Twi'lek programmed the targeting sensors and entered the firing sequence. Within moments, a loud boom shook the grounds as the laser cannons began firing into the atmosphere at the Eclipse above. The first ion cannon unleashed a steady stream of bluish white energy designed to disable the large starship. Orun knew the Academy's meager defenses would not so much as make a dent in the a ship the size of the Eclipse but it would at least provide a distraction. On the scanners, Orun saw the swarm of TIEs break off under the unexpected attack from the planet.
Now, to clear that second ion cannon from the plant growth that was holding it back. Orun descended the tower and sprinted across the Academy grounds. He sensed a calm and collected attitude among his fellow Jedi. They were holding well under the stress. Master Luke had taught them all well.
Orun reached the ion cannon and activated his lightsaber. He began slicing away the vines and plants that stuck to the cannon's hull. It took little effort for the powerful weapon to cut through the thick plants. After a few minutes, the cannon was finally released and its head swiveled and aimed upwards and began firing along with the others.
Orun sighed and lowered his lightsaber. Now to return to the tower and see how the Jedi were doing. He began to walk away when he sensed an unfamiliar presence nearby. A motion to his left!
Orun spun around, his lightsaber readied. A metallic glint could be seen just beyond the line of thick trees. The jungle was silent. No birds were chirping. No wildlife sound at all. He stepped forward towards the sight. It suddenly disappeared. Orun broke into a run in the direction of the disturbance. The trees rustled as if something were attempting to escape. Orun reached the tree line and sensed the presence of a human. Someone was watching him!
Suddenly, three laser blasts came at Orun from the trees above. The Jedi sensed the attacks and brought up his lightsaber in quick defensive strokes. He deflected the blasts and looked from where the attack came. Sure enough, he saw the faint outline of a man sitting in the branches of a large Iku tree about forty feet above and in front of Orun's position. More laser blasts came which Orun easily deflected.
The spy leaped down from the trees and turned to run. The spy was dressed in tight fitting black clothing and he possessed an athletic build and long legs that carried him easily over the thick underbrush. Orun gave chase. The Twi'lek had difficulty matching the attacker's pace over the thick jungle undergrowth. He allowed the Force to overtake him more deeply and found the energy he needed. Whoever this attacker was had obviously been spying on the Academy. Was that how the Eclipse found them? Orun would find out. The spy had to be brought before Master Luke for questioning...if they all survived the attack of the monstrosity above them...
"This... could be trouble..." Crukai whispered to himself as he found himself being trailed by three tie-fighters. His ship barrel rolled, looped, flipped, did just about every evasion move with in it's capabilities, yet the stubborn bastards were still on him. It was time to think fast or die.
Crukai flips a switch and activates his torpedos, he hated wasting good ammo, but given the situation... He flicks the switch and lets a toredo loose. It flies forward, but it quickly shot by Crukai's own guns. Quickly grabbing the stick, Crukai dives his ship under the explosion and quickly pulls up, into a sharp 90 degree angle, hiding his accention behind the flames of the explosion.
The three tie fighters that had been persueing him break formation, one going to the right of the explosion, the other to the left and the middle tie pulled up, attempted to hop over. As it went over the explosion, it was swiftly blown to pieces as Crukai rises up and into a loop. Crukai completes his loop, and he finds himself conventiently behind the remaining Tie fighters. Not giving them an instant to figure out exactly what happened, he layed heavy fire upon them.
One of the tie fighters is struck and explodes, the other increases its speed in an attempt at shaking Crukai off. The two star crafts race around the darkside of the planet, until arriving in the sunny side. Crukai's eyes widen as he see's the full scale battle before him, "This... is going to be a long day." He says with a sigh.
The Tie fighter he was persueing explodes from what appeared to be an x-wing. The X-wing pulls up next to him and the pilot seems to give him a thumbs up before breaking with him and persueing a new target. Crukai grins before throwing on his thrusters and making his way through the crazy mess of star ships and laser fire. Everywhere he glanced, there seemed to be colored beams of light flying here and there, "This isn't my fight." Crukai thinks to himself as he tries to make his way off the battlefield, "Hell, I'm not even being paid for this!" He says to himself, trying to assure himself that he's doing the right thing, "They'll be fine, Jedi are supposed to be-" He pauses as he see's an X-wing being persued by two Tie fighters. The X-wing was obviously damaged and wouldn't be able to hold off against the in coming fire for much longer.
Crukai's hands almost seem to move on their own, pulling him into an interception coarse, "...Just great." He says with a sigh. His ship comes in from above the two tie fighters, and with a few shots, he sends the two tie fighters scrambling. His ship whips around the damaged X-wing and he glances at it's pilot who nods to him in a grateful manner. Crukai grins, "These guys better pay well for this." He pulls his ship closer to the X-wing and locks onto it, throwing on his thrusters, he gives the damaged ship a good push to give it some extra momentium. At the same time, he switches on his com-link and addresses the pilot, "Can you land?"
The pilot's reply is full of static and is rather choppy, "I be-ive -o, m-st -- alli- --imp--ance."
Crukai replies, "I'm going to bring you to the atmosphere, where ever you land or crash is your own business. I'm getting out of this place, clear?"
There is no reply from the pilot, Crukai looks out his cockpit to see the pilot tapping his helmet, his radio must have died. Crukai pulls his ship around and dives in toward the planet, pulling the X-wing with him. As he closes in on the atmosphere, the two tie fighters that had been following the X-wing pull in on him and fire upon them. Crukai spins his ship around, trying to cover for the x-wing. His ship is hit and both star ships plummet toward the surface. "This is what I get for sticking my nose where it doesn't belong." Crukai thinks as he slams against the sides of his cockpit. Both ships twirl and spin out of control as they free fall toward the planets surface.
"Hold on, Renn. I've got him."
Gabriel then veered toward where Renn was having trouble with the TIE on his back. Once close enough he opened fire on the TIE with an array of blaster bolts, after a few shots, the TIE exploded in a haze, the Hawk flew through the explosion,
"Don't thank me just yet, we still got dozens to go through yet."
Gabriel then veered off until he came into sight of the Eclipse Super Star Destroyer,
'My god... that thing is huge.' HE then had an idea. 'The control tower... that's our only shot.' When he had the idea in mind, he said into his comm to the nearest squad leader,
"Blue lead, this is the Ebon Hwak. I'm gonna take a swing at the Eclipse. Keep me covered."
Gabriel then sped toward the Star Destroyer with either high hopes or a death wish.
Once clsoe to the Eclipse, the Hawk started it's attack run, firing at the front of the ship where the Superlaser was positioned, the blasts were jsut absorbed into the shielding without Gabriel's notice, he then began his attack along the dorsal hull, avoiding the numerous Turbolaser blasts & Laser bolts.
Adrenalin was rushing through Gabriel as he drew closer to the Control tower, hit target set for the shield globes he hoped to find there,
'Right... Proton Torpedoes armed & ready. Target location locked in... let's rock and roll."
As Gabriel came to the end of the run, he pulled up into clear sight of the Star Destroyers Control tower, however, he never expected what he saw,
"What the... no Shield Globes?... All that for nothing."
Gabriel was in trouble now, he was pinned down by laser fire coming from the cannons at the base of the control Tower, not knowing what to do, Gabriel turned back round toward the Star Destroyer & kept flying around the dorsal hull area, transmitting,
"Mayday, Mayday. This is the Ebon Hawk I've mis-judged my attack, the Eclipse Star Destroyer's shield generator is elsewhere on the ship. the Control Tower is vacant. I repeat, the Control Tower is Vacant."
...:::Gavriel had flown straight for the superlaser protruding from the tip of the front end. By itself it looked so small, yet from that barrel came enough power to crack a planet's crust. Like some small tooth connected to a great, black, angry serpent Gavriel could see the silver finish standing in contrast to the black hull of the ship. "This is Green Leader, all ships steer clear of the hull. 500 heavy lasers and over 550 turbolasers - that's enough to hurt more than someone's feelings." Gavriel then thought to himself. "Now let's see what this thing can do..." Gavriel corkscrewed his ship upward deeper into the swarm of TIE craft and Jedi craft. "Twin cannons are alright, but I need more..." Gav said to himself. Flicking a switch, Gavriel felt the hum of doors opening outside to the left and right of his cockpit. The hum continued as the more powerful Dual Laser tips emerged from the craft. "Now we're talking..." Two of the Interceptors emerged on Gav's Radar at the back of his craft, spitting green rapidly. Gavriel corkscrewed the TIE again, both to get a better feel for the controls and to evade. Turning the craft right-side up, Gavriel then slows his speed and ups the inertial dampers as he pulls back on the controls arcing the craft up and over and behind his attackers. Gav's eyes widened as he finds he's now behind them. "By the Force, it actually worked!" Gavriel quickly recovered and engaged the Dual Lasers on the arms of his craft that hold the solar panels to the cockpit. One of the TIE Pilots bailed out by turning away to the left. The other tried to go to the right but the right-side Dual lasers were too quick and punched through the ball cockpit of the TIE, evaporating the cockpit into particles as the solar panels flew off in oppsite directions.:::...
...:::Gavriel then hit the brake and veered to the left and could just see the tail end of the other TIE that had shot at him. Dialing back down the inertial dampener and hitting the throttle Gavriel then came upon the TIE craft. The Pilot however started juking and jiving right way to avoid Gav's targeting reticle. Using the Force, Gavriel focused on the TIE craft to line him in his sights. The Interceptor seemed to almost move in slow motion while Gavriel's motion speed remained. "I have you now." Shortly after the TIE Interceptor was destroyed Gavriel found himself staring down the length of the Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer. Almost immediately green flashes erupted from the hull aimed directly for his ship. "Oh not good . . ." Gavriel then focused on the Force once more and throttled the TIE from the maelstrom of green lasers and off to the side of the jungle moon. Gavriel was about to turn that way again when a flicker from space right behind the Gigantic Star Destroyer caught his attention. Emerging from Hyperspace was another Star Destroyer though much smaller in size. "That's an Imperial II-Class Destroyer from the looks of it.":::...
...:::Kyle Landoran had just obliterated another TIE Interceptor which happened to come right into his sights. He repeated his usual tactic of slowing himself down to get as much shots in as possible until he either loses it or it was destroyed. Katrina had just blasted down another TIE Interceptor which was chasing another X-Wing. "Great shooting, Kat. Just keep it up, and remember to open up yourself to the Force." Kyle thought to Katrina. "Ain't doing too bad yourself either, Kyle." Katrina replied telepathically. Kyle nodded and turned towards another TIE Interceptor, and that was when it happened. He saw something emerging from the hyperspace, and it happened to be another Star Destroyer. But this one was tiny in comparison to the Eclipse Super Star Destroyer. He didn't need Gavriel's words coming over his comm to confirm it, Kyle had seen too many of the Imperial II Star Destroyers during his time in Rogue Squadron. "Looks like the Imperials had brought some backup with them!" Kyle spoke in an alarmed voice. Gavriel heard the alarm in Kyle's voice and flew alongside the Huge black Star Destroyer towards the newcoming Imperial Capital ship.:::...
...:::New TIE Interceptors could be seen coming up from the bowels of the newly arrived Star Destroyer "Hold on Kyle, I'm not entirely sure, but I think the Cavalry has arrived from an unlikely source. . ." Coming over the frequency of all Jedi Ships came a new transmission from the Admiral of the new Star Destroyer. "This is Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon of the Star Destroyer Chimaera Representing the Imperial Remnant. Jedi Academy, we are here to offer our assistance. Please turn your radar channels to Frequency Two-Zero-One. Our TIE Fighters are here strictly for the Eclipse Star Destroyer and will assist you." Gavriel could hardly believe it himself. Grand Admiral Pellaeon himself, and here to help take down Talbot. Gavriel switched his radar channel over to Two-Zero-One and now all the red enemy blips were accompanied a great deal of other neon green ally blips. "All groups, you heard the man. Turn your radar channels to Two-Zero-One, we don't want to seem ungrateful to our esteemed guest. I repeat, no one shoot at Pellaeon's fighters, this radar channel will mark his boys as allies." Kyle was confused by this as well, he had never expected Grand Admiral Pellaeon to help the Jedi in taking down the Imperials. Kyle acknowledged Gav's instructions to switch his radar channels to Two-Zero-One so that Pelleon's unlikely reinforcements would be marked as allies. "Roger that, Gav. I'm not too sure why Pelleon was here to help us, but we'll figure that soon enough." Kyle replied. On his radar screen, Kyle saw the newly arrived TIE Interceptors as neon green while the enemies were red. "Alright, Blue Group. Let's take the fight to them!" Kyle rallied. Although it wasn't his job to say something like that as he wasn't squadron leader, but hearing the voice of one of Rogue Squadron's veterans would sure fire up the morale of the Jedi pilots.:::...
...:::Immediately Kali's screen switched the new fighters over to the neon green that marked them as allies. A blast of laser fire got her attention again. Apparently her pursuer had found another buddy to help him out in his quest to take her down. "Green Leader this is Green Two. I'm at point.....oh five seven. And need some help wipeing some Hutt grease off my tail." "Roger that Kyle, Green Two, this is Green Leader. On my way." Gavriel turned his TIE Advanced back around to come towards the front of the Eclipse Star Destroyer where Kali was located. With the Force as her beacon, her persuers were easy to spot. Gav throttled his TIE Advanced for all the speed he could manage. Yet the cloud of ally TIE Interceptors from Pellaeon came up behind Gavriel as if following their leader then flew past him before breaking off to find their targets. "Gotta work on the top speed of this relic when this is over."Gavriel thought to himself as he came up towards wher Kali was at. "Green Two, turn to point Oh-Five, come right at me head-on then dive down at the last possible second." Gavriel had suggested a move he and Kali had referred to as the "Fake-and-Bake Manuever".:::...
...:::Kali gritted her teeth, dodging to the right again. It was a stunt she and Gav had performed numerous times in practice and could execute it to perfection while they were connected with the Force. Close enough to scare anyone else that was watching, since they practically traded paint with their ships. "Copy that...." She said over her com, easing her speed just the last little bit. Gavriel and Kali were towards the middle of the Eclipse Destroyer but still off to the side. Gav quickly realized that behind him was not one of Pellaeon's fighters. He started zigging and zagging to avoid the fire from the enemy fighter. Gavriel felt the connection with Kali strengthen fully, anything less while trying this move would be a complete failure. Gavriel double-checked to see that his two Dual Laser Cannons were still extended. Satisfied they were Kali's X-Wing was now coming head on with his TIE, at the lost possible second Gavriel gave the order. "Mark!" Kali had let herself open up to their connection, switching her lasers over to quad fire. She watched as Gav's modified TIE filled her viewport, waiting for his signal. As soon as she heard it, she reacted, instinctively, stomping the rudder and pressing her yoke, flipping the Outsider up on its side to pass belly to belly with the Justice. She didn't even flinch as she shot a straggler off of Gav's back, pulling the yoke back to bank around. Gavriel had turned the Justice on it's side and switched the Dual Lasers to linked fire. When Kali's ship was safely past, Gav started firing, letting the firepower come down on one TIE and come up under the other destroying both. With elation at the move Gavriel could be heard on the comline. "YeeeeeeAhhhhhhhh!" Gavriel then stopped firing and continued on to find another target. Pellaeon's TIE Interceptors were quickly chewing through Talbot's TIE forces, but still many more of Talbots TIEs remained. Kali got to watch Gav pick her second pursuer off, then replied to his cry of elation with her own laughter. She clicked on her com. "Having fun, flyboy?" "Space Cruisers full of fun. Let's get 'em flygirl!":::...
Before Kali reached the front quarter of the Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer that was filling all of her view panels, alarms blared through her cockpit and a message quickly came across from Screech. Enemy fighters bearing in at point-three-nine-four. Kali looked over her shoulder, out the top of her viewport as laser fire splattered against her sheilds. "Are you kidding me??" She said outloud to herself, gritting her teeth and speeding up, banking hard right. She did a total 180 and this brought her back along the port side of the huge ship. Where did they find the man power to build one of these, anyways?? They take years to put together when not rushed.... The sight of laser fire in her viewports brought Kali's thoughts back quickly to the task at hand. Don't get vaped.
Which was exactly what the two TIE's on her hind end were trying to do to her. Zigging and zagging along, the TIE's were also steadily chasing Kali into the range of the Destroyer's turbolasers. Stomping on the rudder, she skidded the Outsider to the left, dodging through the firefight. She looked back over her shoulder, but there was no need, she knew they were still there and where they were. "Where did they find these guys..." She grumbled to herself, then aimed the Outsider downwards, through the heaviest part of the firefight. She ended up skimming along the bottom of the Destroyer, where the turbo lasers were sparce, and losing one of her pursuers to friendly fire. She kept low and tight to the side of the Destroyer, out of range of turbolasers, the sides exploding around her where the TIE's lasers missed her, and hit the ship instead. There was no significant damage done however. Kali took whatever valley and dip she could find in the ship's armor to shake the enemy off her tail. This one just wouldn't give up, though. She pulled up after a moment, pouring as much power as she dared into the engines.
Alarms that another large ship had entered the vicinity went off in her cockpit. Kali slapped them off then looked briefly in the direction they indicated. A new Star Destroyer had arrived, and TIE's were now pouring out of it. A flash of fear ran through Kali instantly, before a voice came over her com. "This is Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon of the Star Destroyer Chimaera. Jedi Academy we are here to offer our assistance. Please turn your radar channels to Frequency Two-Zero-One. Our TIE Fighters are here strictly for the Eclipse Star Destroyer and will assist you." Juking to the right again, she pulled an outward loop, switching her radar over just as Gav came in. "All groups, you heard the man. Turn your radar channels to Two-Zero-One, we don't want to seem ungrateful to our esteemed guest. I repeat, no one shoot at Pellaeon's fighters, this radar channel will mark his boys as allies." Immediately her screen switched the new fighters over to the neon green that marked them as allies. A blat of laser fire got her attention again. Apparently her pursuer had found another buddy to help him out in his quest to take her down. "Green Leader, this is Green Two. I'm at point.....oh-five-seven. And need some help wipeing some Hutt grease off my tail."
"Green Two, this is Green Leader. On my way." Gavriel turned his TIE Advanced back around to come towards the middle of the Eclipse Star Destroyer where Kali was located. With the Force as her beacon, her pursuers were easy to spot. Gav throttled his TIE Advanced for all the speed he could manage. Yet the cloud of ally TIE Interceptors from Pellaeon came up behind Gavriel as if following their leader then flew past him before breaking off to find their targets. "Green Two, turn to point Oh-Five, come right at me head-on then split right at the last possible second." Kali gritted her teeth, dodging to the right again. It was a stunt she and Gav had performed numerous times in practice and could execute it to perfection while they were connected with the Force. They came close enough to each other to scare anyone else that was watching, since they practically traded paint with their ships. "Copy that...." She said over her comm, easing her speed just the last little bit. Gavriel and Kali were now closer towards the middle of the Eclipse Destroyer but still off to the side.
Gavriel had turned the Justice on it's side and switched both Dual Lasers to linked fire as soon as Kali's ship was safely past and held the buttons down, Gavriel let the firepower come down on one TIE and come up under the other clearing them both away. With elation at the move Gavriel could be heard on the comline. "YeeeeeeAhhhhhhhh!" When Kali had banked around she got to watch Gav pick her second pursuer off, then replied to his cry of elation with her own laughter. She clicked on her comm. "Having fun, flyboy?" "Space Cruisers full of fun. Let's get 'em flygirl!" Kali's laughter filled his comm again as she flipped the Outsider over and moved off with Gav back into the thick of things.
It wasn't long before Kali had picked two more enemy fighters off, sending one without his right panel spinning into the side of his buddy, who was flying just a bit too close. Their "reinforcements" from Pellaeon had helped ease the burden on the out-manned Jedi Knights. Didn't mean there still wasn't trouble. Kali was traveling along the side of Eclipse, banking back around to make her way back towards the front when the splat of laser fire over her top viewport warned her she had someone on her tail. Instinctively, Kali pushed down on the yoke, taking the Outsider in an underside loop, barrel rolling her halfway through to keep the TIE from hitting her. She pushed the throttle forward, gaining speed, moving her ship along the length of the Destroyer, but this guy was persistant. Didn't mean she didn't know how to play hard to get. Kali flew the Outsider under the bottom of the Eclipse, coming up on the other side and far away from the thick of the firefight at top speed. Apparently it was just what her little "friend" had wanted. Or he just caught a lucky break. Another enemy TIE was flying back by at just that time, and let loose a volley of fire. Kali had no choice but to fly back towards the Eclipse, and down a turbolaser lane to avoid either of the TIE's lasers.

Kali yelled as she felt the ship rock with a direct hit, whether from a turbolaser or TIE, she couldn't tell. "Sithspit!! Screech! Are you alright?? Damage report!" She knew what she would read before it even came up on the screen though. The hit had shorted out two of the main thrusters. She was losing speed and bottoming out fast. "Bottom thrusters out, sheilds only at 10%, temperature regulator blown, and three power couplings gone." The Outsider had slowed a bit and was banking out in a flat arc. Kali gripped the yoke, fighting for control. She was headed straight for the side of the Eclipse, too. She was flipping sideways. Alarms went off with a proximity alert. Kali's voice rose right along with them. "Hold on Screech!" She yelled, wresting to maintain control and hopefully perform a crash landing that would keep her, the ship, and Screech all intact. Somehow. And then she was given her opening, literally. A hanger bay was open. Kali managed to stop the ship from flipping end over end, but couldn't get it to slow down enough before she made the opening of the hanger bay to set her down gently. Gently was not an option right now. She dropped all power to the remaining engines and dropped the landing gear. Reaching out, she concentrated with the Force on the control panel in the operator's station of the hanger bay. It wasn't hard to take it over. Using the Force, she flipped the switch to open the shields and hanger bay doors. She just hoped they moved fast enough so she wouldn't plow into them.
Then it was just hanging on for the ride. She heard the whine of metals against metals as the Outsider "touched down" on the floor of the hanger bay. The contact slowed the ships speed further, until the stress became too much on the front landing arm of the Outsider, and Kali winced as she felt it snap off. She braced herself for inevitable impact, her hands pressed against either side of the cockpit, squeezing her eyes shut. The ship screeched to a halt just as it was about to plow through the far end of the hanger bay. Once all movement stopped, Kali opened her eyes. She was intact, so was Screech, judging from the words rolling across her screen, but the Outsider had taken some damage. Gav was going to kill her.
"...front landing arm gone, sheilds gone, sustained hull damage. Master Gavriel is not going to be happy." Kali groaned. "I know Screech...." She started flicking on emergency switches and doing other checks, including of their surroundings. The hanger bay wasn't completely empty, although there were no personnel currently down there. The only one's she sensed in the area where those in the operator's station that she was currently directly under. "Screech, power everything down and hurry. Emergency systems only." He beeped an affirmative as Kali opened the hatch on her cockpit and pulled her helmet off, tossing it into the seat behind her when she stood up. She climbed out onto the front of the Outsider and slid down its nose. She jumped off the end, her booted feet echoeing throughout the hanger bay. Quickly before the guards or whoever came, she reached out through the Force towards Gav, touching his mind with hers through their connection... Help....

That was odd, Tae had never heard voices in his head before. Blinking a few times, Tae looked towards what was a small or appeared to be the huge ship of some kind(Eclipse star destroyer) then in the chaos within like a swirling tide or a storm it was lost again. Other broken up voices had been bouncing around, unseen or heard by others possibly.
How Tae had been picking them up or over hearing them was another problem. Tae didn't know why and just waited for this arn battle of somekind to end. Gehrand obviously noticed and asked him what was wrong, he hesitated at first but then said it silently knowing it was best that the padewans didn't overhear.
The Jedi knight nodded, understanding and not thinking he was crazy or becoming insane. Tae explained he had heard the call for help from the ship in the distance. He pointed towards it, just to make sure the Jedi knew which one. The Jedi was silent for a moment then nodded in silence then began concentraiting on something else his thoughts were sending out something but somehow Tae's mind had become to fogged in its sea's of his own powers and confusion he was deaf to it all.
It was clear that he was doing something or sending out somekind of message towards the other jedi. Unsure and just assuming he was he resumed waiting paitently for the battle to come to an end and so he could get off this crazy ride and talk to the person or the main master of this Jedi accademy. Already Tae had questions, but he also had answers should someone ask him.
Tae watched the other padewans who were practicing some kind of technique with their powers, sadly Tae could not participate because he could not understand and didnt know what they were doing. They just sat there, ees closed and appeared calmer than normal. Why? Tae was unsure, chaos, like a strong fire blazed within him and was able to be felt by other Jedi, then again maybe after his training here in a few techniques he would begin to understand.
The bridge onboard the Darkness was a flurry of activity. But despite the battle taking place outside the bridge was quiet. Only the hushed tones of officers and enlisted personel communicating with each other could be heard. Occasionaly a officer would rush up to the two persons standing in front of the large viewports to the battle outside. After delivering the message or whatever else needed to be said they would quickly rush back to their posts and carry out whatever needed to be done. What else was suprising was the large amounts of females working on the bridge deck. Normally these areas were male only. Whether it was because of the manning shortages or because of Daala, nobody knew.
Grand Moff Tarkin continued to watch the battle unfold in front of the viewports. To his right Admiral Daala kept full tabs on what was going on. She held a datapad in her hand and was constantly cycling through information and statistics. Her stature and figure had improved. Her shoulders that once sagged under the pressure of losing battles had disappeared. Her hair was once again the bright copper-fire comet that it had been during her stay in the Maw Installation. She had a purpose now. She had the one man that believed in her abilities by her side... even if he was a clone. She could see that determination and cold calculation in his eyes.
"Sir, our fighters are holding their own against the Academys defensive forces. The arrival of Grand Admiral Palleaon's star destroyer will not stop us. it has begun to fire upon us as well as launch it's fighters. We are only counting between 30-40 rebel fighters of various makes and models." Daala reported.
Tarkin didn't turn to look at her. "That's the same amount of fighters that those rebels used against the first Death Star. But this time they won't have the same results. There are no exhaust ports for them to take advantage of. Palleaon's ship is a minor nuisance. Disable them with our ion cannons. I don't see the need for any Imperial blood to be shed this day. Pallaeon is a good soldier. He will know his place within the new empire. How soon until we are within firing range?"
Daala double checked her figures. "Thirty minutes and counting until we are in a clear postion to fire. The shockwave from the planet's destruction will not affect us from our range."
Tarkin nodded. "Good, good. Continue to launch the fighters and set up a defensive screen around the superlaser and the control tower. I don't want anything to get through."
Daala nodded and turned to one of her aides and issued the orders. She caught a motion out of the corner of her eye and turned to watch as Talbot walked onto the bridge. Behind his towering physique she could make out the form of Kasan Moor being dragged by two stormtroopers.
She had a vile distaste of Talbot. Everything about the man reminded her of the way the Empire once was. Females and aliens under boot and no where to go. Talbot was all of that and more. He enjoyed torturering people, especially females. He could be very brilliant and very sadistic at the same time. It was only because of that brilliance that she didn't have him thrown out the first airlock that she saw. Tarkin had vouched for him and as long as he served a purpose to the Grand Moff, then she couldn't touch him.
Turning completly around to face Talbot she gave a cold stare. "I thought that you would have killed her by now, Vice-Admiral."
Talbot shook his head. "Now, whats the fun in that? Killing them only ends their suffering. I haven't gotten all I want out of her yet." He motioned for Kasan to be brought forward.
The stormtroopers dragged her body in front of Talbot and held her up to their eye level.
Tarkin turned around and looked at the bedraggeled Kasan with all the feeling of looking at a dead fish, or animal at market. "Kasan Moor, it has been a while since our last chat.' He walked forward and placed a finger under her chin. He carefully brought it up until she was looking directly into his eyes. 'I trust that you find your accomenations suitable?"
She blinked a couple times, coming to realize her new whereabouts. She was dizzy and ached over Talbot's last conversation with her. She didn't want to talk anymore, or look at them. They were people whom she'd known for a great time and stood for everything that she'd ran from. Adverting her eyes, she mummbled, "It could be better..."
"Vice-Admiral Talbot can get... carried away at times. But as a traitor to the Empire, could I not be faulted for that oversight? But don't worry. Your death will come soon enough. We have already destroyed the Avenging Force and taken care of Kyp and his rebel friends." Tarkin let his finger drop as he turned around to face the battle outside.
"As we speak, my ship is going to finish the job that I started over twenty years ago. The final destruction of Yavin IV." Tarkin nodded to Talbot. Talbot just grinned as he grabbed Kasan by the hair and forced her to look up and out the viewports.
"You see that, Kasan? All of your little rebel dogs think that they can stand up to the might of a Eclipse-class Star Destroyer? Even now our fighters are taking care of them. One by one the jedi will fall.' Talbot said with another grin and another yank on her hair. 'And you have a front row seat to their deaths."
She cried out once and when she was forced to look out, her eyes widened when she finally realized where they were. Her thoughts flew and the one word she could manage was one she would regret. As she stared out, she crossed one hand across her stomach and said, "No... Kyle..." Realizing her mistake, her free hand flew to her mouth.
But it was too late.
"Kyle?" Talbot asked. Then he began to think about that name. Then it came to him, a single possiblity. "No... no... could it be... Kyle Landoran? The rebel scum that you refused to shoot down at Brentaal? He is the father?"
The look in Kasan's eyes confirmed everything that Talbot had said. "So, that rebel dog..." His voice trailed off.
"Who is Kyle Landoran?" Tarkin asked.
"A jedi scum of some renown. We faced him while I was flying with the 128th. During the battle of Brentaal she refused to shoot him down. Know I know why. And if he is a jedi then he is probably flying a fighter out there in the battle. She can be very useful to us."
Tarkin agreed. "Indeed. We can use her against the jedi here. Open a communication channel with all of the rebel forces."
Talbot just grinned as the channel was opened and began to broadcast.
Tarkin stood in front of the recorder. "Attention rebel forces, you are hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned. Surrender now or else I will be forced to execute someone that you may know."
He stepped to the right to reveal Kasan and Talbot. Talbot grabbed her by the hair again and lifted her face up to the recorder.
"If you do not want to see her die, then you will lay down your arms immediately and be prepared to be boarded by my forces. You have twenty minutes before her sentance as a traitor to the Empire is carried out."
The signal cut and Tarkin turned back to Daala and Talbot. "Put the ship on high alert. They will attempt a rescue. But we will be ready for them."
A female officer walked up to Daala and began to give her report. Daala turned to Tarkin. "We have a report coming in from hanger bay 25. A jedi has crash landed her X-wing there. We have sealed the area to prevent the jedi's escape."
Tarkin frowned as he rubbed his chin. "So it begins. Take the prisoner to my personal quarters. Daala, prepare the ship for boarding parties. Send down detachments of stormtroopers with the force belts to all the hangars. Seal all of the hangar doors into the ship for the time being. Evacuate all non essential personel from the hangar areas. If they send more jedi then I will take away the only advantage that they have. Talbot, go down to hangar bay 25 and retrieve that jedi pilot for questioning. Take as many troops as you need."
Talbot smiled. "I only need a few, Grand Moff.' He cracked his knuckles together. 'I've always wanted to beat down a jedi."
"And you will get your chance today, Vice-Admiral. Just make sure that there is enough of them left for interegation." Tarkin said.
Talbot quickly turned and walked briskly away.

Daala turned back to Tarkin. "The jedi are dangerous and the Force makes them even more so. Are you sure that your belts will work?"
Tarkin nodded. "They will work, rest assured. And if the jedi figure out a way around them... then I have a few more suprises for them."
Daala looked at the motionless crimson Royal Guards. They stood silently in each corner. Their force pikes cradled on each shoulder. They looked like they might be statues or asleep, but Daala knew better. One move against the Grand Moff and they would spring into action.
"Like them?" She asked.
"Of course, loyal unto the death. And with their forcepiks they will be a worth foe for the jedi. Not even a lightsaber can cut through their weapons. We are quite safe from the jedi." Tarkin said with a point of pride.
"Sir, we have another hangar breach. Two more fighters, looks like jedi." Another officer reported to them.
"So their numbers increase like the roaches they are. Reinforce the stormtroopers at that hangar bay. Continue to monitor the jedis actions and make sure that they do not escape." Tarkin ordered.
Meanwhile inside of all the hangar bays alarms began to sound as their doors to the outside began to close. Red lights began to flash all over the ship as it locked down. The jedi were trapped with nowhere to go.
...:::Gavriel heard Kali's faint cry through the Force, even over the roar of the Twin Ion Engines of Gavriel's TIE Advanced x1, Kali's voice was clear. "Sithspawn!!!" Gavriel could see where Kali's X-Wing had landed but the shields to the small side hangar bay had closed back up. Gavriel flew close to the side and took a few potshots anyway, stinging the shields with both his Twin Blasters and Dual Cannons. And the Destroyer's response was enough to dissuade him from trying that again. Several Turbolaser batteries opened fire, with more than enough of the blasts coming too close for comfort to the Justice. Gavriel hit the accelerator and sped away from the ship. Well I suppose my Concussion Missiles are my next best bet. . .I've got to get in somehow." Gavriel thought to himself. He then activated the comline. "Green Leader calling Green 3, Renn old buddy, I just lost Green 2 but she landed inside one of the side docking bays. I'm going in after her. Your callsign is now Green Leader until I get back. Don't let me down."
...:::The problem was, Concussion Missiles were physical weapons and passed through energy shields. "Even if I could send the missiles through they'd only impact the surface. The shields would still be up . . . unless . . ." Gavriel thumbed the comline again "Justice Calling Starlight Wizard, Kyle old man, do you copy?" Another TIE Interceptor, which belonged to Talbot as it was marked red on Starlight Wizard's radar scope, was blown into space debris thanks to Kyle's handiwork. He smirked as Jake beeped to applaud that kill Kyle had made. This was when he heard Gav's voice coming over his com-link from the Justice which was Gav's TIE Advanced x1. "This is Starlight Wizard to Justice. I got you loud and clear, Junior." Kyle replied, couldn't resist calling Gavriel that. Old Man and Junior sort of became Kyle and Gavriel's version of the names which Gav exhanged often with Kali. Kyle began juking left to right as he dodges lasers from the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer. Even now Gavriel had to chuckle at the remark. "Seems we've both got a dilemma on our hands. Kali's crashlanded inside one of the side docking bays and it's too well defended to break through. So we both have someon dear to us on board. If Jake is still with you, have him run a diagnostics check on the shields. See to it they are run in small sections and not one large mass. I suspect the former.":::...
...:::Kyle listened to Gavriel after that chuckle from his last remark and nodded as he kept dodging laser blasts from the large black mammoth of a Star Destroyer while TIEs tangled with other TIEs and the Jedi fighters. "Copy that, Gav. We'll get both Kasan and Kali back if that's the last thing we do. I'll get Jake on it right away." Kyle replied as he fired at another TIE Interceptor which also fired at him in a head on attack. Kyle took another hit as he and the TIE shot right past each other. Neither of them turned back to attack again. Kyle sighed relief then turned to his trusty astromech droid. "Jake, see if you can run a diagnostics check on the shields of this ship. Make sure that they are in small sections and not a large mass. Got it?" Kyle instructed Jake. The R7 unit behind his cockpit began to do the diagnostics check on the shields of the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer. What Jake returned was the result which Kyle and Gav were after as he returned with an afirmative beep and whistle. Nodding satisfyingly, Kyle returned to the com-link to inform Gav. "Alright, Gav. Jake had returned the results. The shields are just as what you thought they were. In small sections." Kyle responded positively.:::...
...:::"Alright, Kyle form up with me. We're going in to get Kasan and Kali. Though have Jake keep an eye on the shields surrounding the docking bay at Point . . . Three-Five. The one covering Point Three-Five. That's our destination. First we're going to pinpoint the power capacitor powering that shield generator. My missiles will take care of the rest." Kyle nodded to Gavriel's instructions and listened to them carefully, as he would for Wedge's instructions back in the old days with Rogue Squadron. Soon enough, the Starlight Wizard formed up with the Justice. What irony. Kyle was nearly killed by the same class of fighter that Gavriel was flying, when Darth Vader was in the cockpit. Now, he was flying with a friend in a TIE Advanced x1. "Roger that, Gav. I'd have Jake designate the target for you, this should give you free-range with the concussion missiles." Kyle replied. Once again, Kyle directed his next instructions for Jake. "Alright, Jake. Keep an eye on the shields surrounding the docking bay at Point Three-Five. Keep an eye out for a power capacitor and paint it for Gav's concussion missiles." Kyle said. Jake simply responded and did as Kyle asked, the droid scanned the shields and found the power capacitor and designated it for Gav as it returned a beep to Kyle. "Target designated, Gav. It's all yours." he announched.:::...
...:::Gavriel gave two clicks on his com to confirm he heard Kyle. Gav then broke off and focused on the Force. "Alright I'm going in, cover me." Gavriel flew downwards in another corkscrew manuever as he headed towards the hull of the Destroyer. Already several turbolaser and heavy laser batteries were unloading serious firepower his way. The target area Gavriel was going for was only 3 meters wide. It would be close, but then Luke hit a target area 2 meters wide and Gavriel was trained by Luke. Gavriel flew as close as possible to the shields until he pinpointed the target area with the Force. Almost seeing the targetting reticle on the area Gav fired two Concussion missles then pulled back on the control stick and turned around to get out of dodge. As expected, the missiles went through the energy shield, the first one opening up the armored plating enough for the second missile to punch through and obliterate the power capacitor. "Alright Kyle, we've got a small window to get in and land in that Hangar Bay. They're probably already trying to divert the power, Pool the Force with me and let's see about holding it back enough for us to slip through!" Kyle once again nodded to Gavriel. "Roger that, Gav." he simply responded as he didn't want to waste anymore time when he had to pool the Force with Gavriel. He concentrated his mind and drew as much of the Force as he could.:::...
...:::Gavriel and Kyle then pooled the Force together as they shot past the top of the Destroyer then U-Turned back to head for the exposed Hangar bay. From the Force they could both tell the shiled was well on it's way to getting back up. Using the Force to "push" open the gap they needed the focused as much as they could without losing focus on their flying, but the shield was closing back in and Gav and Kyle were still 20 meters away. They maintained their focus and throttled their fighters, milking every last acceleration bit from the machine as they could. They could almost see the shield closing down around them, behind Kyle, Jake screeched as if sure they weren't going to make, but the duo slipped in just as the shield came to a close. 3 Turbolaser turrets tried to keep them at bay but were destroyed by the pair's concentrated fire, and braked their fighters as they cme through the Docking bay magnetic field, coming to a rest on the shiny hangar floor. Gav sat back in his fighter and let out a sigh of reief. "Whew . . . we made it Kyle." That was a harrowing entry to say the least, and Kyle knew how close a call it was by the way Jake had screeched loudly in panic. He too, let out a sigh of relief as he leaned back against the cockpit of his fighter. He also let out a slight chuckle. "Yeah, we made it, Gav. Because we trusted in the Force, unlike somebody here." Kyle replied, refering to Jake in his last remark as the droid beeped in slight protest. He and Gav were now in the rancor's den, and could sense Kasan in the ship through the Force, along with Kali.:::...
...:::Gavriel removed the copper headset and wiped the sweat off his brow with the sleeve to his Jedi robe. He then opened the top hatch of his TIE and took a look around the hangar bay to see it was clear. Gavriel was satisfied and climbed out. Once at the top, he closed the hatch and leapt down to the floor. Once a safe distance away, he hit a switch on his wrist transmitter activating the stationary shield and defense system he rigged to the fighter, to prevent anyone from fooling with it while he was away. As soon as Kyle took off his flight helmet, he felt his dark red hair being chilled by the cool air inside the hangar of the Star Destroyer. Kyle let out another sigh and simply climbed down from his X-Wing. Jake setup the security measures for his X-Wing so that no one would steal or temper with it and stayed secured inside the socket. "Well, I guess that takes care of the security measures for our ships." Kyle said.:::...
...:::"I don't like this one bit, no one to meet us. I'd have figured we'd have to wade through a jillion guys just to reach the doors over there." Gavriel's hair was beginning to cool down also, but something wasn't right. "I sense a disturbance in the Force." Kyle nodded to Gav again, as he always seemed to be doing lately. He too, felt a disturbance in the Force. He also knew that something wasn't right. By now, the entire ship would be on alert and waves of Stormtroopers would be coming down hard on him, Gav and Kali. That was what Kyle would have expected had he tried to board a typical Star Destroyer. "I feel it too, Gav. And this is strange, I was expecting Stormtroopers in our faces by now and alarms to be sounding. Yet nothing was going on.... Just like my grandfathers experience on Obroa-Skai during the Clone Wars. Nothing happened only to have them strike when he least expected. Keep your guard up, Gav." Kyle said, his hand already feeling the hilt of his lightsaber. Gavriel turned to look at Kyle and supressed a chuckle. "Why didn't I think of that . . . Master." Gav said, sarcasm just dripping from the words. "We'll go slow, just in the off chance they don't know we're here, no sense tripping any alarms."
"Attention rebel forces, you are hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned. Surrender now or else I will be forced to execute someone that you may know."
Talbot grabbed Kasan by the hair again and lifted her face up to the recorder. Yet in the docking bay only her voice could be heard, a small whimpering mixed with Talbot's words.
"If you do not want to see her die, then you will lay down your arms immediately and be prepared to be boarded by my forces. You have twenty minutes before her sentance as a traitor to the Empire is carried out."
It was then that the alarms went off, the hangar bay doors sealed shut and the rescue of Kasan and Kali was going to be much more difficult than anticipated. Though little did they know just how difficult it would be. Gavriel turned to look at Kyle. "It's never easy is it?"
When Renn heard the message that he was leader he went silent for a moment and then tried to speak. Finally a smile touched his lips.
"Alright, you heard the man I'm your new Leader. Let's hold of these Imps for as long as possible. Remember his orders 'cause their going to be the same as mine," Renn said. "Okay, Green Five and Six, you two are my wingmen. We're going to show these Imps some real flying!"
"Copy that, Green Leader," came Green Five's voice in his headset.
"I read ya," came Six's voice as well.
Renn then made a dive with Five's B-wing and Six's E-wing on each side of him. He kept his eyes on his radar to make sure some the TIE's he was chasing weren't Palleon's. It wasn't so Renn fired relentlessly on it and it finally exploded. Five picked off one TIE and so did Six but then three TIEs got behind Six and began to fire on him.
"Hold on, Six!" Renn shouted, hiting the breaks along with Five to they could get behind the TIEs but it was too late. Six released one last scream but managed to crash his spinning E-wing into a TIE that was coming for them.
Suddenly he hit his throttles and chased after Six's killers with Five doing her best to catch up with him. Both began to fire and wiped out two TIEs but the final one tried to flee but as it ran an A-wing showed up and blew it up. Several other ships followed after the A-wing taking down TIEs at random.
"This is Captain Garik 'Face' Loran of Wraith Squadron," the A-wing's pilot told him. Renn had no idea who this man was but Five must've because she let out a gasp. "Who is the leader here?"
"I am for the moment, the name's Renn Torvec. I'm a Jedi Knight. The real leader is Jedi Master Gavriel Derragon but he's busy at the moment."
"Ah, well do you need a hand?"
Now was not a good time to be cocky or sarcastic. He was still a bit shaken from watching Six die and he was beginning to question his own leadership abilities. Gav gave him a huge responsibility and he figured that he could use some help.
"Sure, just give your own orders but if you hear any cries for help or if you see a ship in danger, you save 'em. Got it?"
"Got it. You heard him, let's go get us some Imps."
Renn watched as Face's A-wing rocketed off in search of some TIEs while he and Five continued to attack the TIEs.
