...:::The crowd inside of the Main Audience Chamber had continued to grow as Luke Skywalker watched on a small camera located in the upper reaches of the room hidden from view. Luke had the camera installed shortly after his records were hacked into by an unknown spy seeking out areas known as Force Nexuses. The spy was eventually tracked down by Kyle Katarn's student Jaiden Korr. Luke stood in a small room beside his R2 unit R2-D2 watching the crowd gather inside the room on the other side of the wall. "Look at them all Artoo. Jedi Masters, Knights, trainees, Padawans . . . The Jedi Order is slowly but surely coming back." Luke often found himself stunned, it seemed such a short time ago his Master Yoda had told Luke "...when gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be. Pass on, what you have learned..." Luke had worked hard to honor his Master's request and if Yoda could see him through the Force, Luke hoped the old Jedi Master would be proud. After dwelling a moment more on all that had happened since Yoda's request to now, Luke moved over to the door and Artoo following behind. With a hiss of released pressure, the door lifted and Luke entered in a small side door in the front of the room which had been lifted up from the middle to form a small dais. Seeing Luke enter, the crowd grew quiet.:::...

...:::Luke scanned the crowd quickly, taking note that Jedi Master Gavriel Derragon and Kali were present, but no Kyp. It shouldn't surprise Skywalker about Kyp's absence, but that he was only a few temples away brooding as he often did didn't make it much easier to accept. Kyp's Avenging Force had been decimated over a week ago and Kyp had found it hard to accept their deaths. Knowing Kyp was best left to his own space, Luke continued to look at the crowd. Many Jedi Luke had expected had shown up, included nearly every one that had figured they would arrive late. Renn Torvec, Mahtan Nólatári, Orun Traego, Zeke, Keyan, Zarx, Daniel, Paul Sadu, and Navrae Re'en. Very good turn out over all. Of course, the meeting was mandatory but some Jedi still didn't make much use of it. A small light went off as a small chime started to gather everyone's attention. Luke cleared his throat and began.:::...

...:::"I'd like to thank all of you for coming to this meeting. I know it was relatively short notice, but again, thank you. I would like to start this out by bringing you an update on the Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer we suspect is loose in the galaxy. Rumors have reached me of a possible sighting near the Rishi Maze, but as yet they are unconfirmed. Another suspected sighting was near Kessel where a large mass exited hyperspace only briefly before making yet another jump. With the Maw Cluster so close to the Kessel, and if this was indeed the Destroyer, there is a possibility it may have been pulled into one of the black holes of the Maw. Considering that the sighting at the Rishi Maze happened after the anomaly at Kessel, it's a fair bet that the Destroyer is still out there we just don't know where, or what to expect from all this." Luke took a moment to let everything he had just said sink in with the crowd. "We must trust the Force that whatever end this Destroyer will be used for, that the safety of everyone involved will be realized. I would focus more on the Destroyer's updates but a short time ago I was informed of a new development from the New Republic. Please focus your attention on the holoprojector.":::...

...:::In the Center of the room was a large holoprojector hooked up to a small console R2-D2 had jacked into and was currently uploading data into. The lights in the room darkened and the long, narrow windows letting in the sunlight tinted to block the light completely. The holoproj came online with a brief flicker and then the blue image of the galaxy appeared. The blue mass was rotating as two sets of parallel lines that intersected each other appeared in the holo. The intersecting lines formed a small rectangle on a portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The rectangle enlarged to bring it's area to the main focal point. The rectangle appeared again and magnified again and continued until a white and blue planet appeared. The main body of the planet was white with hints of blue mixed in. The image of the planet came into view as the main focus and information came up beside the rotating image.

    Rhen Var

    Region: Outer Rim
    Environment: Frigid wastes
Biography: This frigid world is covered with snow-swept mountains, which are dotted with a variety of ruins.

"The reason this planet has so little information is that the planet has yet to be claimed by the New Republic. During the civil war, the Empire used the planet as a long-range listening post. Just recently the planet was turned over to the New Republic. Early expeditionary teams were sent to survey some of the planet and images of what looks like a tomb were discovered. The tomb is important because it's believed to be the tomb of a Jedi Master from over 2,000 years ago named Ulic Qel-Droma." Images of from the planet began to appear, images of large cylindrical ruins and spires reaching out from the snow, another image of a long valley basin and at a certain point a large Castle-like structure is seen off to the side. "That is believed to hold the tomb of Ulic Qel-Droma. Scans has also seen newer ruins of ships all around the castle." Images of the ruined ships began to appear, Triangular flying ships what loosely resembled A-Wings except with longer bodies. Ground vehicles included one large round-shaped ship with many smaller vehicles all around it. AT-TEs, AT-XTs, Battle Droids, and old Republic Gunships could be seen scattered all around, though mostly covered with still-falling snow.:::...

...:::The images then faded and the room lights came back online as the windows lightened. "This is a very important find which could help us to understand the Jedi Order of the Old Republic. The amount of Clone Wars wastes left in such close proximity of the castle suggests there must be something still at the castle, something very important and very possibly useful in regaining lost knowledge of the Jedi Order. I am planning a small expeditionary force be sent in to investigate and recover whatever they can for our use. Any questions?" Several hands went up, one of which was Gavriel's. Luke nodded to Gavriel who stood up. "If this is a site of a Clone Wars battle, what are the chances that some of those droids are still active?" "As far as active droids, that's not known. The large Droid Control ship in the valley was found to be inoperable so active droids don't seem likely. As for a head of this mission, I was planning to ask you." Gavriel sat back with an unsure expression on his face, after a moment he shrugged and spoke up again. "Two more questions, Who's volunteering to accompany me, and, When do we leave?":::...

Tae was outside the Jedi academy, unsure wether it was still occupied or not. The place was silent, almost as if it was holding his breath. His weapons upon his back his small light-Scymitar at his side or reffered to in Adepti as Olto, unafraid but cautious he moved in through the first enrtance near the steps.

From the first entrance he began exploring but avoiding other Jedi or padawans, just incase of hostility. Unable to avoid anylonger he moved swifly towards what appeared to be an easy exit. Little did he know fate had led him here or was it destiny.

Sure Tae's could create energy from nothing, yet a few times his mind would slip causing the object to be...warped, severely warped. If R2's scanners were long range they would have picked up the intruder (Tae in the facility). Why Tae was here, well, he was here for answers and a small request.

The Adepti's teachings had faded out beyond record, either they were lost, destroyed or long forgotten during the clone wars. How he had come about into existence was another thing. To any Jedi who did not know him, they would have assumed he was a sith or a dark jedi. They were far from the truth.

.:Tae enters from the back of the room which has al of the Jedi in the meeting tht Luke is hosting and hears only a bit of the conversation or what ever was going on, it was only part of it but maybe someone here could tell him where he was. A small few noticed him, but then, like wildfire it spread through the group, even their master, Luke, noticed his presence him.:.

'Great Tae, you've entered a place where a crazy cult is and how are you going to go and out live this lot.' he chided himself.

Tae became cautious, it was similar to a creature from the wild entering uninhabited or unknwon territory and finding a possible threat. His right hand resting over his Olto the other near his blaster which was of course an older version to blaster today which was rapid fire instead of single shot. The rifle was also rapid shot or burst shots, but tended to be harder to aim.

Tae looked to Luke and ignored the others. The air was tense. He knew it. He already knew at this point in his training he wasn't skilled in taking on this many targets alone should they be hostile. He waited for luke to say something because at this point his mindwas firing off in so many directions it was hard to find words.

There was no inner calm in Tae at this point only chaos he had no inner calm and tended to be head strong. There was no order in Tae and for Jedi and Adepti both needed order. That was why Tae had come here by fate. Tae had arrvied to learn from what the jedi excelled in and what the Adepti had lost over time. Order and self calm.

Renn looked up at the image of the planet and bit his lower lip. He didn't like the cold and he didn't like Ganner.

Cold or Ganner, cold or Ganner. Decisions, decisions, dicisions, he thought to himself. Who the hell am I kidding?

"If you think I'm going to stay here than you're insane. Count me in," Renn said, looking around as a smile touched his lips. He like volunteering to go first, he thought it somehow made him seem brave.

Truth was he needed to be focusing on something else. That was why he wanted to go on this mission, he didn't like being angry, it made his heard hurt. Renn just hoped it wouldn't be too cold and he hoped Ganner would not come, bad things would most certainly happen and with his luck Renn would be blamed.

Once again he looked up at the image, Frigid temperatures, I'm NOT going to enjoy this. Oh well. This could be your time to shine, Renn ole buddy, don't screw this up.

He thought he'd better get some training in, he felt kind of rusty back on Iridonia.

Before walking out he said, "If anyone needs me I'll be in the training room. Please come and get me when it's time to head out."

With that being said he left the room and headed towards the training room. Once there he activated just his silver lightsaber, he was better when he fought with just one blade. Using the Force he activated a terminal and several training probes came out.

The bolts they fired couldn't kill but that didn't mean they tickled when they hit you, Renn knew this for a fact. Soon they began to fire and Renn deflected the blasts fairly easy. One probe managed to get behind him and got him in the small of his back with one bolt.

"Sneak little vrelt aren't ya?" He then chopped that one in two.

One probe fired at him but Renn deflected the bolts to smash into his attacker. He was soon finished with the other ones. He wiped away the beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

Gabriel ran down the Academy corridors so he wasn't late like the last time.

As the meeting was about to start, Gabriel had arrived just in time to hear what master Skywalker had to say at this meeting, he was able to slip between 2 padawans at the back of the room to avoid any major notice, firstly the rumours about the Eclipse Super Starr Destroyer, Gabriel had herd his own rumours about it hiding somewhere within the Outer Rim,
'Most of us know that already, what's your point, Master?'

He then heard Master Skywalker's report on an old Imperial listening post named Rhen Var & the mentioning of the 'Tomb of Ulic Qel-Droma.'.
'An archeology exabition... this could be a chance for me to show what help I can be.'

As Skywalker asked for voulenteers to join Master Gavriel, his hand shot up like a ship leaving Hyperspace,
"Master. I'd like to voulenteer myself to join the expadition. My parents are archeologists. So I have an idea on what needs to be done. If I may be permitted to join Master Gavriel & Renn to Rhen Var."

Gabriel had high hopes that he would be allowed to follow on the exabition, inside he was extatic, mostly to check out the tomb to see if it could help their parent's research & to build on their theory that the Sith's Conquest was driven on pure instinct.

Orun sat in the back of the meeting room. The other Jedi filed inside and sat patiently for Master Luke to arrive. Orun nodded to a few of the Jedi he knew and spoke a word of greeting, but otherwise kept silent. He took seriously what Master Luke had to say. Luke was trained by two legendary Jedi of the Old Republic, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. Luke's stories of them were always fascinating and Orun made it his personal mission to discover all he could about the Jedi of old. For generations, his own family clan worshipped the Jedi and one of his ancestors personally witnessed the Empire destroy the Jedi. That was how Orun came to own his lightsaber. It belonged to a murdered Jedi Master, but, in his great grandfather's age ridden mind, the name of the killed Jedi was forgotten. Orun always wanted to know who his lightsaber once belonged to. Perhaps this mission would shed some light on it.

Orun's hand raised from behind the assembled crowd. "I would like to volunteer Master..."

It was then Orun became aware of a presence nearby. Something unfamiliar was approaching...not an animal and not a droid. His sensitivity to the Living Force enabled him to detect the presence of waves made by all living things. Orun knew each Jedi assembled by the Force wave presence they gave off and the one approaching was not one of the Jedi.

Orun's hand dropped to his lightsaber. He stood to try to catch Master Luke's attention. Some of the others turned and stared at Orun. The Twi'lek made a silent motion and pointed to an area behind the audience chamber. He knew Master Luke saw him. It was then that the presence showed itself.

He was a man, dressed strangly, and armed with very odd weapons. At least, Orun thought they were weapons. His Living Force energy was strong and Orun right away figured him to be Force sensitive. Perhaps a Jedi adept seeking to be trained? Orun thought he looked dangerous and, despite his Force presence, the Jedi was cautious.

By now, the others had noticed the stranger and were all silently looking at him. Master Luke watched him approach but his reaction was not what Orun thought it would be. Master Luke seemed unsurprised, almost as if he knew long before Orun did that the stranger was here. Master Luke was a powerful Jedi. He would know what to say to this stranger.

The form of Aaron Valtioc sat without motion within those hallowed chambers, the words of Master Luke flowing through him as they were born unto his ears by the air’s displaced currents. His hands hovered at chest height, one clasped into a balled but gentle fist and the other an open palm. Those that spent significant time with the knight of The Force would recognise this as a regular occurrence, a custom amongst his nomadic family. A symbol of balance and harmony passed down through generations, just as the antique weapon at his side had been.

It may have been this that generated the veritable aura of calmness that was wreathed around this Jedi like a flowing, majestic robe. Then again, it may have been the serene environment, the sounds and echoes of life in this room. It was a beat, a heartbeat. The pulse of Yavin.

The Jedi smiled as he heard Gavriel’s remark, the question whispering in his brain as the knight considered his options, considered this archaeological expedition. The cold of Rhen’Var needn’t present any problem to him, in fact serving as one of the reasons that his presence may be valuable. Aaron had long ago trained his body to withstand the worst of nature’s fury, meditating within the clutches of Hoth’s frozen wastes and walking the deserts of Tatooine. He had discovered another piece of the puzzle in doing so, unearthed a shard of true harmony within his psyche. But there were many more fragile pieces to the jigsaw, and Aaron intended to gather them all and assemble them one by one.

Another thing that had sparked his interest was the mention of the name Ulic Qel-Droma. Aaron knew this name well, his extensive studies covering the Jedi’s deeds in life. He had been a Jedi who played a decisive part in The Sith Wars, his fate interwoven with that of Exar Kun and his scourging of the Jedi. And like many heroes or protagonists, his fate was a tragic one indeed. To wallow in a pit of sorrow, cut of from The Force and bearing the blood of a brother in one’s hands. To visit the tomb of such a Jedi would be an experience, to say the least.

Of course, there was one other reason that would make Aaron worthy of the mission. If there were any droids still function, he could take them apart like any good Jedi. And so he voiced his request.

“It would be an honour to accompany you to Rhen’Var”.

Aaron’s open palm quivered involuntarily in a sudden, almost undetectable movement. Chaos, it was barking and snarling upon the borders of his tranquil mind, almost glowing like a beacon in this place of serenity. The Jedi turned his head with a multitude of others, his sharp gaze falling upon the man of odd garb that had strode into their midst. He had the look of a seeker, and from the fluxing emotions and the look upon that face, it was clear that what this boy wished to find was the same with Aaron found all those years ago.

“The raging fire seeks to quell it’s flames”.

Meanwhile Daniel just sat back making himself as comfortable as possible without appearing disrespectful, neither to the Temple he was honoured to have his presence in nor the land where it's magnificence lay. They both mean a lot to many, for on this once farflunged and backwaters moon, the Galaxy gained it's independence. From this unaccounted, unnoticable seed the roots of the New Republic took hold. So did the orator upon the Dais for he was the one that sprung them...

...How dare one such as I be here....

The pressure of his upcoming trial was starting to wear down on Hope's already miniscule ego, he fancied every possible disaster from accidently dropping and breaking the crystals to bending the sabergrip instead of lifting it or that he accidently rigged the button on the grip to make it short circuit. Just then a reasuring hand dropped on his shoulder and with a startle Daniel turned to his left to find Master Graul (Rymhes with Paul) staring fiercly into his Padawan's eyes.

"Tell me young one" He sounded about as pleasent as a wookie who just fell into a lake "Would it not have been more startling if I was wielding a dagger and slithing your throat right about now" Graul discarded the boy with a push before continuing "Pay less attention to your day dreams and more to your surroundings".

The tall, mascular Togorian Jedi Master returned to a rigid position on his seat, looking towards Master Skywalker but continuing to talk to Daniel "Are you ready for your trial, my student?"

"Yes....yes Master Graul" the other raised his head when the young man from Roslo stutered unassuringly.

"Did you gather everything as I said?"

"Yes I did, the crystals and the metal cylinder are prepared"

"And did you follow the regime I placed?"

"Yes...to the word, I have fasted for the last week and I sprinted accross the valley" And he still felt the multiple strains he made while hustling trough mud.

Graul nodded, he wasn't one for congratulations, he wasn't one for back patting nor smiling or ever showing a nanoic sign of joy. The Trogorian wasn't of a dark heart of course, not in the slightest but from his world he brought customs of discipline and training that wore hard on the unfortunates that went under his wing, hence why he was the least popular teacher and Daniel wouldn’t have anyone else.

Wasn’t surprising that he knew or that he acted upon it, Graul’s students always felt a shiver down their spine as if a lion’s eye staring among the bushes......It was just then that the stranger appeared, he didn’t look like anyone Hope recognized or for that matter like anyone recognized for that matter. Something light and metal fell on the young Padawan’s, he looked down at the lighsaber, the one he often used for training and saw that Graul, who had probably thrown it to him, was slowly reaching for his own....it seems that he did not recognize the stranger either.

    ...This won’t end well...

“However as you all know I have young Daniel Hope to take care of, which is why I ask you if I may take my Padawan with me, I believe it is time for him to experience some field work, it might harden his spirits as well as his fortitude”

...He’s mad, I can’t go out there, I’ll break an urn or something, cause a cave in or set off a trap...

When Graul sat back down, waiting for Gavriel and Luke’s answers, Daniel turned to him and tried to protest “Master...with all due respect I...”

“What’s wrong young Hope?” Graul cut Daniel off with a sarcastic tone “I thought you would enjoy the blistering cold above Yavin’s tropics, is that not why your mother sent you that thermal blanket?”

The cat like Jedi got off his seat, after Gavriel, Aaron, Renn and Gabriel had each expressed their wish to journey to the unearthed tomb and Castle, Graul was wearing his robe’s hood over his head covering half of his face with it and with a confident yet prudent low roaring voice expressed “My fellow Jedi, Master Skywalker and Master Gavriel as you well know I would never turn away from such a worthy mission or allow it to slip by without my aid, and I’m sure you would not think so highly of me if I did not join you on this expedition”, a few people nodded and whispered among themselves, it wasn’t common for someone with a Padawan under his wing to leave his student to go out adventuring....

Navrae looked up at Luke as the Jedi spoke to them. He grimaced at his own thoughts. Most people, even in their minds, knew him as Master Luke, restorer of the Order, destroyer of the Emperor. But the twi'lek did not call him so. There was a simple reason for this, and that was that Luke was not his Master. It was common belief among the Academy that those who trained Luke were the last of the Jedi, Luke had even been told this by one of his own Masters, but Navrae knew different. Not thought, knew. There had been Knights left after in the Galaxy, scattered though they were. And it was from them that Navrae had been trained. They had shown him the way of the Force when he had thought its flow would crush him. From a twi'lek child who knew nothing, he became a Jedi.

The twi'lek sighed as Luke moved to his "we must trust in the Force" bit. What he's really saying you idiot padawans, is that they have no clue where a large destructive force is going to appear. And that it could easily be here. His thoughts tended to darken like that whenever the younger ones whispered in such awe of Luke speaking about the Force. He would never have said this out loud but he settled for clipping their ears and whispering to them, "Quiet down or i shall show you another use of the Force other than to be trusted in." The menace in his tone was controlled but enough to make sure they were still. His eyes turned back up to Luke, and were drawn to a ball of ice floating in the air. Of course it was only a projection.

Navrae recognised the planet before Luke named it. Rhen Var! Memories flooded back. Not all good ones either. A face formed in his mind, a human with tied back, brown hair and matching color eyes. Suddenly the twi'lek wanted to be somewhere else, anywhere else, except facing that globe. Memories of a rasping breath and buzzing of lightsabers surfaced and Navrae wanted to hold his head and squeeze them out, but he stayed still, eyes on the globe, not even blinking. He shook his head and took a deep breath, the memories dropping back.

    Rhen var...

Navrae stood up and looked at Gavriel and then to Luke, then shifted back to Gavriel. "If you would please, Gavriel, i would like to accompany you to Rhen Var. You may need someone who knows the planet." There was a slight mutter from younger students, Well, let's see what they make of that. He knew that the Padawans, some of the Knights, and possibly one of the Masters, was involved in a bet to find where Navrae had first come from. The small amount of jedi records held gave the homeplanet of every Jedi in the hall, and outside it. Except for Navrae. If he remembered rightly, the investigation Luke had ordered lasted about a year before giving up. And that had been about 5 years ago, when he had first stepped forward from the shadows he had been hidden in. He sat again. And waited to return to the planet of his first Master.

Mahtan Nólatári hustled down a wide corridor that would eventually take him to the Audience Chamber and thus the location of the meeting. As he moved at a light jogging pace he passed all sorts of people moving about. Everything from droids, pilots, mechanics, other jedi, and the occasional other species. He also took note that he probably hadn't done anything with his ship but land it and jump off to get to the meeting before he missed the world of information that was surely going to be presented.

As Mahtan reached an entrance to large room he noticed that Master Skywalker had already began to speak to the audience.

"I'd like to thank all of you for coming to this meeting. I know it was relatively sh...."

Mahtan let his focus trail off for a moment as looked for a decent place to view the remainder of the meeting. Finding only a wall at the back of the room as a good place to stand Mahtan returned to what he was here for.

"...we suspect is loose in the galaxy. Rumors have reached me of a possible sighting near the Rishi Maze, but as yet they are unconfirmed. Another suspected sighting was near Kessel where a large mass exited hyperspace only briefly before making yet another jump."

'Wait... what?' Mahtan felt his thoughts start to move in circles. He had obviously missed something in the sort time that he had taken to find his lousy viewing position that just seemed to scream out "Yep I just barely made here in in time and now I get the cheap seats."

"With the Maw Cluster so close to the Kessel, and if this was indeed the Destroyer," 'Ah of course!' Mahtan thought. 'there’s only one destroyer he could possibly talking about... the Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer.' Mahtan waited as if expecting there to be a dramatic pause after his thought of the star destroyer finished. Now feeling stupid, Mahtan returned to listening to Master Luke speak.

" there is a possibility it may have been pulled into one of the black holes of the Maw. Considering that the sighting at the Rishi Maze happened after the anomaly at Kessel, it's a fair bet that the Destroyer is still out there we just don't know where, or what to expect from all this."

"We must trust the Force that whatever end this Destroyer will be used for, that the safety of everyone involved will be realized. I would focus more on the Destroyer's updates but a short time ago I was informed of a new development from the New Republic. Please focus your attention on the holoprojector."

As Luke, and as well as the mass of people in the room, turned their attention to the holoprojector and the lights dimmed, Mahtan noted an empty set not too far in front of him. Quickly moving to his new found location he sat down just before Luke began to speak about what he had brought up.

What he was showing was what information the alliance had on a planet known as Rhen Var. It was a cold, snowy, planet very similar to that of Hoth; probably almost just as empty aside from a mass collection of Old Republic era vehicles and a few other interesting items and facts as well.

Then came up the mention of a research mission to the planet to, well, research the area and see what can be found. Mahtan thought about it for a moment. He like seeing all the old ships and crafts and also he loved fighting the old battle droids just because they entertaining to watch and listen to, and the possibility of there being some active stirred up a little excitement.

Suddenly the question of who would like to accompany the mission came up. Multiple hands shot up like a wave from front to back. Most shouted something saying that, yes I want to go too. 'Hmm why not go? I like seeing the old equipment and I don't mind the snow and cold much. I guess I'll go.'

Standing up from his seat in the back of the room Mahtan spoke his words.

"I shall join you on your lofty quest." He had spoken it with a stern tone and made a similar stern pose. He figured he looked retarded but he enjoyed bringing the comic relief at times. But then again he could be serious when needed and never flinch.

    Name: Crukai Valdor

    Age: 40

    Lightsaber Technique: <Single blade>

Lightsaber Color: <Blue> When he gets one. For now, just a blaster pistol.

    StarCraft: The HLAF(Heavy/Light Attack Fighter)-500

Appearance: Crukai is a 34 year old Zabrak male. He's 6'2" in height and has a bulky, very strong build. Crukai almost always wears his blue and black pilot jump suit, regardless of where he is. Other than this, it's common to find Crukai covered in oils after working on his ship. Crukai always has a, "Just got off of work." look to him, he has friendly brown eyes and a very soothing voice.

Biography: As a child, Crukai's parents were trade officers that dealt well with the ever growing and expanding Imperial Empire. His parents were merchants who dealed in a variety of substances, ranging from medicines to ammunitions and bombs. While most everyone else in the galaxy suffered under Imperial rule, Crukai grew to love it. Times were good for him and his family... until... At some point in time, people grow greedy, too greedy for their own good. It's sad, but it's a fact for all creatures.

During the siege of a rebel planet, Crukai's parents made the error of crossing the empire when they let their greed get the best of them and sold goods to the rebels for an enormous profit.

"What good are credits, to the dead?" The Imperial officer that executed Crukai's parents had asked this before pulling the trigger. In a matter of minutes, Crukai had gone from being on top of the world... to being an orphan in the hands of the empire. Needless to say, they made use of him for what ever he was worth. Crukai began his life as an Imperial slave with simple janitorial duties, but worked his way up. With in a year, he was a servant to Imperial officers. Cleaning their shoes and serving them drinks as they reclined on their off duty, he earned the nick name, "Pricky." As the officers enjoyed teasing him about his spikes.

Most people would crack and lash out having taken the kind of abuse that Crukai dealt with on a daily basis, yet he never showed an ounce of anger. Nothing but complete submission came from him, as a child, Crukai already knew what the world was about. Those that are strong can do as they please. Those that have power, can hurt who they please... and those that don't, become slaves of those that do.

Crukai spent most of his childhood on his hands and knees, cleaning the gutters of other people. This had made him rather humble in appearance, but this appearance is purely superficial... Deep down, beneath everything, there is emotion that tidder-todders between resentment and hate. When Crukai was 15 years of age, he was placed under the apprenticeship of an imperial mechanic. He had worked his way up as high as any slave could hope for, he was to be a skilled slave. A grease-monkey that would clean, repair, and refuel all docking star ships.

After two full years of diligent work, Crukai was given the position of first level mechanic, for the glory of the Imperial empire, he was one of the countless other slaves that supported the empire as it grew further and further in power.

It was during Crukai's first year as a starting level mechanic that he learned of his... extra-senses. Crukai had been deployed to the newest of the Imperial projects, some sort of huge military installation that had been coined, "Death Star" During his stay there, he was to tend to all star ships in docking back 123. His arrival at the Death Star was monumenious to him, never had Crukai ever dreamed that such an creation was even possible. It's mass was absolutely fantastic, but other than that... there was something else to it. He would get this odd tingling as he grew more and more close to the Death Star, as though he could feel a presence there. Something huge... something frightning...

Not many people had the honor or displeasure of meeting the Dark Lord, Vader, but Crukai was... It was while he was walking through a hallway aboard the Death Star, in an instant, the crowded hallway broke apart as people pressed against the walls to allow a distinguished visitor through. Crukai was already accustomed to such a thing, it was probably an admiral he first thought, until that feeling struck a thousand times stronger than before. Crukai had glanced to the side to watch as Darth Vader walked through the hall, oddly, Vader paused in front of him. Crukai held his breath as he stares at the ominous figure, it's breathing was enough to send chills down anyone's spine. In an eerie voice, it spoke, "I sense... something... faint." The imperial officer that had accompanied Vader ushers him, "Lord Vader, please, we must proceed. The counsil wishes to speak with you." Vader slowly proceeded forward. After the Dark Lord had turned the corner, the hallway resumed their busy activities.

With in days of that event, the Death Star was attacked by rebel forced. Crukai could sense it clearly by then, two great forces(Vader/Luke)... so close, it was a mystery to him that no one else could feel what he felt. It was the presence of those two, together that awoke Crukai's force sensitive ability. Before then, the force to him was like a whisper, just quiet enough to detect, but now he could hear it, and it was LOUD. As if an explosion has occured and sent ripples through his body, he could hear and feel things all about him and they all screamed! "GET OUT OF HERE!!!!"

During all of the confusion of combat, Crukai managed to steal a small ship and launched off. Before anyone could even notice what he had done, the Death Star errupted and all that was left, was dust.

Crukai was soon picked up by a passing Imperial ship, but something was different in him... from that day on, he knew... he could feel something, something that drove him to wonder. Nothing would be the same and he would have to discover this new ability for himself.

After the fall of the Imperial empire, Crukai took up a life as a star ship pilot for the Corellian system. He was hired as a patrol officer, keeping the space clean of all pirates in the general area. During these years, Crukai had become an exceptional pilot. He had a great deal of time to hone in his force abilities and learn about them by himself, but still many questions lingered in his head. Questions concerning the force and exactly what it is, were always running in his mind, it was like an itch that needed to be scratched but can never be reached.

When Crukai heard rumors of a Jedi academy, it's no wonder that he would persue it. He searches for the academy, not to be a student, but as an old man who wants some questions answered before he can be at peace.

Misc: Crukai is a very humble man. He's very pleasant and can usually get a laugh out of anyone. Years of being around grunts and grease-monkeys has given him his own flavor of charm.

A large Imperial battleship slowly floats through space. A small fighter vessel approaches the battleship and halts.

"Docking protocol, Alpha-Delta-Omega-Foxtrot..." Crukai flicks several switches as he goes through his docking proceedures.

There is a moment of radio silence before a reply comes across the static, "Bravo-Niner, you are clear to dock."

Crukai flicks several more switches, "Roger control." The small star ship propells forward and makes a clean landing into an open shuttle bay. The cock pit to Crukai's star ship cracks open and slowly opens.

From inside, anyone could see that this wasn't any normal battle ship. It was vastly modified for commerical use. A remnant of the past that had been captured, sold and rebuild for an alternate purpose. What was once a ship that belong to the likes of imperial officers, was now under the ownership of a corporation. The Vendalla Corporation had purchased this vessel as they were a security business that dealt in the protection and escort of things ranging from wealthy aristocrats, to large mining operations.

As Crukai pulls himself from out of his cockpit, a voice catches his attention, "Yo, old man!" Crukai glances to his right side to find a young pilot from his squadron, "Nathien, what's the problem boy?"

Nathien laughs as he makes a drinking motion, "Hey, the guys and I are gonna hit the cantena tonight. How about it? A game of pazaak and some drinks?"

Crukai sighs as he smacks the side of his ship, "I've got a lot of work, my ship took some damage in that last fire fight."

Nathien grins, "I hear they got some new Twi'lek girls." He smiles wide, "You're such a work-aholic, you need to relax some. Besides, you can let the pit crew handle all the repairs."

Crukai glances aside to see one of the mechanics shock himself on a charged capacitor, "No thanks, I'd rather handle my own equipment."

Nathien sighs as he shrugs his shoulder, "You can lead a Bantha to water, can't make 'em drink... Take it easy old man."

Crukai nods to Nathien with a smile, "Don't cause too much trouble, ya hear?"

Nathien replies as he walks off, "Yeah, Yeah..."

Crukai shakes his head, "Those kids..." He leaps out of his seat and lands on the ground. Turning about, he rubs his hand along the side of his ship, there were blaster burns here and there, but in particular, there was one burned into the side of his right wing. He rubs his hand across the hole, "Stupid kid..." He whispers. In the dog fight they had earlier, Nathien got too anxious and almost got himself killed. If Crukai hadn't knocked his ship out of the way and taken the hit, that blaster hole would be in Nathien's head and not his wing.

"Sir, you have a message." An errand boy stands at the edge of Crukai's ship, "Sir?" He repeats himself.

    Crukai nods, "What's the message?"

The boy studders, "Umm... something about Jedi..."

Crukai quickly walks toward the boy and takes the letter, "Alright, thanks..." He glances at the package but slowly vears his eyes toward the boy who was still standing there, his hand was open, expecting a tip.

Crukai grins has he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a few credits, "Here." His hands were covered in oil and grease as he slapped the money into the kids hand. The boy's face forms into a frown as Crukai got Oil all over his neat hands, "...Ick..." He whispers as he walks off.

Crukai mummers, "Damn brat..." As he watches the kid walk off. With out a moment to waste, he rips open the envelope and glances inside, there was nothing in it but a small chip. Crukai pulls out the small chip and stares at it for a moment, "A hologram?" He whispers. "Hey Earl!?"

A voice emerges from somewhere in the hanger, "WHAT!?"

Crukai shouts, "Ya got a hologram player!?"

Earl replies, "Nah! I sold that piece of S**t! Couldn't figure out the damn thing, then I called the help line and they said..." He continues to ramble, but Crukai stops listening.

"Hmm... Bet Nathien has one..." Crukai nods to himself, "Better go check it out."

Crukai arrives at Nathien's room and knocks on it, he recieves no reply, "The cantena..." He thinks to himself. Without further procrastination, he goes the Cantena.

As Crukai walks through the ship, he passes many stores and services. It was all some what odd to him at times, as a child he could remember these same hall ways. Everything was steel and cold, everything was in complete order and uniformed, yet now... where there used to be an arms department, there is a hair salon. Where they had the interogation rooms, there is a theater... times have changed...

Crukai arrives at the cantena, and with a long winded sigh, he enters. It was dim and the usual sounds and smells of a cantena flooded his senses, he could feel so many emotions and thoughts in this place. It almost gave him a head ache at times, which is exactly why he rarely came. In the corner of his eyes, he found Nathien playing a game of Pazaak with a young, half-dressed Twi'lek girl.

Crukai approaches Nathien who puffs on a cigarette as he glances up, "Yo, you came old man."

The Twi'lek girl glances up at Crukai and smiles, "And who's this handsome man?"

Crukai sighs, he recognized the girls face. She was Lybi' bya, a Twi'lek card shark. She seduces a man into playing a game with her, keeps up her charm and flirts to keep them in the game while she cleans them out. Some men are smart enough to see right through her... but, Nathien...

Nathien eyes shimmer as he stares into the eyes of the beautiful women, struggling to keep his tongue from hanging out.

Crukai sighs as he thinks, "Nathiens not that smart..."

Nathien pulls a chair up for Crukai, "So what's up gramps? Thought you were too busy to come."

Crukai sits refrains from sitting, "Yeah well, plans change... Hey, listen. You think you could let me use your hologram player?"

Nathien rubs his head, "Well, yeah..."

    Crukai smiles, "Great, I'll just-"

Nathien cuts his off, "BUT... I umm... kinda...."

Crukai twitches, "You lost it, didn't you?"

Lybi'bya giggles, "I'm afraid it's my player now, but... I'll make a deal with you."

Crukai glances at her cautiously, "Which is?"

She giggles, "Well..." She walks her fingers along the table in a seductive way, "You just play a few rounds with me, and I'll let you have it. Hehe."

Nathien downs another shot of alchohol, "She's good, but you can take her chief!"

Crukai stares at the woman for a long moment before grabbing the chair Nathien offered him and sitting down, "Alrighty darlin', we'll play a few."

The bets are dropped on the table and the first cards are dealt out. Crukai winces as he recieves a 3, "Hit me." he whispers. The Twi-lek girl grins as she deals out another card.

An 8 lands on Crukai's hand, that's a grand total of eleven. He hands over to find Nathien hung on 17. Nathien moves his head back and forth, un sure about what to do, "Uhh..." The Twi'lek girl rubs her foot against his leg, "Oh come on hun, go for the glory." Nathien nods, "Yeah! Glory!" The Twi-lek girl drops an 8, "Aww, you bust hun."

Crukai remains focused, "Another..." He taps the deck. The Twi-lek girl drops another card on Crukai, it was a 7 leaving Crukai at 18. With only a negative 2 card and all positives, he couldn't afford to drop another card. The Twi-lek had 18 as well, she was going to hold, "House rules, hun. Hit or drop?"

Crukai lowers his head as he thinks, "Alright, hit." He glances up to find a 5 was dropped."

The Twi-lek girl giggles, "You bust sugar."

Crukai grins in annoyance, "Alright, again."

    --Five Hours Later--

Crukai sighs as he dangles on his last coins. The night was growing to a close, and Nathien had already passed out.

The Twi-lek girl smiles as she counts her credits, "You sure don't have any luck, hun."

Crukai glances up at her with a cold stare, he was serious now. The cantena was less crowded and his mind was more clear now, "One more game..." He whispers.

The girl shakes her head, "Sorry sugar, but I gotta go."

Crukai reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a paper, he drops it on the table, "One more time, winner takes all."

The Twi-lek girl stares at the paper, "Is this.. what I think it is?"

Crukai nods, "It's the deed to my star ship..."

Nathien glances up with a twitch, growing a bit sober, "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! Chief, you can't do that!"

Crukai stares into the Twi-lek's eyes, "The ship is personal property of mine, I can do with it, what ever the hell I want. Are you in?"

The Twi-lek girl stares at Crukai with a long stare, "Sugar... I can't do that..."

Crukai shakes his head, "You can and you will."

The girl sighs before reluctantly sitting down and pulling out her cards, "It's your funeral, sugar..." She says quietly.

As the cards roll out, Crukai could tell... he knew before the card were even shuffled. This is the one, something... was telling him... luring him... the same voice that told him to leave the Death Star, the same voice that brought him here. It was never wrong, "Hit me." He whispers.

The cards play out and in the end, there was a tie. 19 and 19. The Twilek girl shakes her head, "It's over."

Crukai, with a grin across his face, taps the deck, "Not yet... one more time..."

The final card is dealt, 19 and 21. Nathien leaps out of his chair and shouts, "Oh yeah!!!!! Hoho, baby!"

The Twi-lek girl stares at the cards, her eyes quivering, "There's no way... I counted... There... it can't be."

Nathien jolts back, "Wait, she's... a card counter?!"

    Crukai nods, "Ah..."

Lybi-bya stares at Crukai in confusion, "You knew?"

    Crukai nods, "Yes."

The Twilek girl shakes her head, "They why? How'd you know this would happen?"

Crukai lowers his head, "I don't know... I just... did. Something told me that it'll be alright in the end, so I did it."

Crukai stands up and reaches his hand out.

The Twilek girl shivers, "I can't give you it all... I just can't, I have to pay a debt. If I don't, they'll kill me." She glances up with tears in her eyes, "Please, I can't..."

Crukai's eyes were unwavering, "The Hologram... that's all I want."

Nathien interupts, "Whoa! Wait, she's a card counter and we're just gonna let her take our credits?!"

    Lybi-bya glances down in shame.

Crukai smiles at her before glancing at Nathien, "You act like she stole it, hell, putting up with your flirts all night, I'd say she earned it."

The Twilek girl glances up at Crukai with a smile across her face, "Thank you... thank you..." She whispers.

Crukai leans foward to take the Hologram from her, but winces in surprise as the twilek girl gives him a quick kiss before handing him the hologram and running off. He watches with a quiet smile.

Nathien growls, "The hell, the geezer gets the girls? What about me?"

Crukai grins as he walks out, "Boy, a real man is like wine, get's better with age. Hahaha!"

The door to Crukai's room slides open and he tiredly walks in. It was dark, which was perfect for viewing the hologram. Calmly, he places the hologram onto the floor and inserts the computer chip. The hologram whizzes to life and Crukai takes several steps back. A blue image of a man appears before him, he was wearing a light robe and brandished some or of strange device to his side. It spoke, "Greetings Crukai Valdor, I know this is sudden but... when we got word about you, I had to act. My name is Luke Skywalker. Let's see, where to begin... When you first sent a message to us, describing yourself and asking questions, we weren't sure what to make of it. I must admit, we have met many people who have the force, but it's rare to meet one who has had it for so long, been aware of their abilities, and yet... never tried to seek out traning. From what we understand..." Luke clears his throat, "You've been exploring the force on your own, this is good but... without proper guidance." He sighs, "One can fall without ever knowing that they tripped. It's not that you pose a threat, but you are of interest to us. We... I... think we can learn much from one another. When you feel you can..." A star map appears and points out the Yavin system, "Meet with us." The map disappears and Luke stares into Crukai's eyes, almost as though he were really in his presence, "I know you must have a thousand questions, and I'm eager to answer them, but... I must implore you, meet with us as soon as possible. The force... is wavering, yearning for our meeting, I sense something important shall arise from all of this. Till we meet, safe journey and may the force be with you."

The hologram disappears and the machine shuts off. Crukai remains silent for a long moment, "Force huh? So that's what they call this... feeling?" He turns about and walks out the door, "Well see." The door shuts behind him.

Climbing in his star ship, Crukai buckles himself in and prepares to undock. His radio activates and a confused voice asks him, "Sir, what're you doing? You're not cleared for take off for another 8 hours. Get some rest."

Crukai replies, "Just taking her for a little spin, I can always rest between auto-pilot intervals."

The operator replies in a baffled tone, "What? Wait, you can't!"

Crukai grapples the stick to his ship and in an instant, he lifts off the ground and races out of the battleship. Within moments, the ship bursts into hyper-space, destination... Yavin.

When the call to council came, perhaps Zerron'ex didn't hear it, perhaps he simply had not cared enough. He had been training against the combat droids in the academy, all that it seemed, he could do well. He had not yet begun his lightsaber training, technically he shouldn't even have his lightsabers yet, but he had already built them before he came to the academy so he was allowed to keep them, but his instructors warned him against concentrating on lightsabers until he learned more basic skills, something that he had ignored so far.

However, there was little reason for him to concentrate on other things, namely because he simply could not do other things. He didn't understand it, but for some reason he could not affect things outside of his body with the force, he could sense but not move anything. His instructors had sensed that he was strong in the force, and believed that it was merely because he wasn't trying. No one could understand that it wasn't because he didn't want to do other things, but simply because he couldn't. He had shown an unnaturally great aptitude for doing force feats involving his own body however, such as speeding up his metabolism. After his instructors conferred, they eventually decided that it would be best if he did not practice with such techniques until he learned how to telekinetically affect thing, so they had warned him not to train with lightsabers anymore, soon he felt it would become a command.

Recently, he had taken every free second to practice with his lightsabers, knowing that he would not be able to do again, for a while at least. After particularly grueling session however, he looked at his chronometer, and realized that the announcement that he had half-heard had specified that he was supposed to be in the audience chamber almost momentarily. Hurriedly he cleaned up and changed into fresh robes, then ran directly to the audience chamber.

He came just in time to hear the end of the update about the star destroyer, when Luke said, " "We must trust the Force that whatever end this Destroyer will be used for, that the safety of everyone involved will be realized". Obviously the ship hadn't been tracked down yet, pity, he had been hearing snippets about it for what seemed like forever. It was inevitable that the ship would eventually be found, nobody could hide from the republic forever.

However, something that was mentioned in the next few minutes really caught his attention.

The tomb is important because it's believed to be the tomb of a Jedi Master from over 2,000 years ago named Ulic Qel-Droma.

Having been an armature archeologist at his homeworld, such an expedition would prove to be a welcome return to his idyllic youth. In fact it was his love of ancient artifacts which had originally catapulted Zerron'ex into his current situation, the ancient artifact which he discovered and successfully learned how to use taught him that he was sensitive to the force. The ancient lightsaber, such memories, he had to go.

Then he took a good look at the world, and his blood seemed to freeze within his veins. It looked so... cold, Zerron'ex, like the rest of his people, was cold-blooded and thus much more vulnerable to cold then others at the academy. He continued to listen however.

This is a very important find which could help us to understand the Jedi Order of the Old Republic.

With those words, his mind was completely made up, he would go. Perhaps this Jedi master's tomb held some secrets of the old Jedi; maybe they had known how to deal with his situation of having such limits on his force usage. He had to try.

He raised his hand and attempted to say that he volunteered for the mission, but his speech was immediately drowned out by others who were volunteering.

"These warmbloods chatter constantly, yet nothing useful ever comes out of their mouth", he thought bitterly.

...:::Luke watched as the young Adepti came forward and was about to welcome him when warning sirens blared throughout the Main Temple and the rest of the Jedi Academy temples. The alarms volume were dropped only for a clear voice speaking out - that of Yavin Flight Controller Jace Podessa.

"Attention everyone, this is Yavin Flight Control! Attention! A Large spacecraft we have identified as the rogue Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer has entered the Yavin System and is now directly over us! I repeat, A Large spacecraft we have identified as the rogue Eclipse-Class Super Star Destroyer has entered the Yavin System and is now directly over us! . . . Wait, we have an incoming transmission coming over the holoprojector now.":::...

...:::Grand Moff Tarkin, presumed dead when the first Death Star was destroyed, had appeared on their communication channels and announced that he was here to finish the job that he had started all those many years ago. Joining him was the former Imperial Admiral, Daala. She was also presumed dead. The last that anyone had saw of her was when she had made a blind jump into hyperspace after her final battle with the New Republic several years ago. And now she stood next to one of the most feared Imperials, and on the bridge of one of the most terrifying ships that the Empire had ever built. But it was the person behind Tarkin and Daala that caught everyone's attention. A cruel looking Imperial officer, with a metal face plate covering the left side of his face, held a woman that everyone reconized as Kasan Moor, firmly by the shoulders. Her face was downcast and bruised. Her whole body posture was one of defeat. "I'm sure that you reconize the Imperial traitor known as Kasan Moor?" Tarkin had said with a flick of his wrist. "She will be executed for her crimes, of course. But I wanted her to watch as I unleash the power of this planet destroying ship upon Yavin IV.":::...

...:::The transmission stopped and Luke wasted no time. "Everyone to your battle stations! Scramble fighters let's go!" Luke had said as he jumped from the dais and made for his side door. Everyone else had turned to get out from the main door. Gavriel jumped up and grabbed Kali's hand. "C'mon, we're following Luke! Is Screech over with the Outsider?!" Everyone, including Kali, tensed the minute the communication from the Destroyer came over their systems. Kali was on her feet the second it ended. She gripped Gav's hand as he grabbed it and fumbled for her comlink with the other one, letting Gav guide her across the dias to the side door to follow Luke. "No, but he will be..." She yelled over the din of moving people. "Screech!! Get off the Shadow and over to the Outsider, now! Get her prepped for take off!" Gavriel let go of Kali's hand and while running to keep pace with Luke, Gav turned his left hand over palm up to reveal a small stransmitter strapped to his wrist and activated a small button.:::...

...:::Recieving the transmission Gav's wrist transmitter sent, inside the hangar of the Temple came a whine of Twin Ion Engines starting up. Gavriel's TIE Advanced x1, the Justice began start up procedures. Meanwhile, from the ramp of Gav and Kali's luxury yacht, the Star's Shadow came a small blue and silver R2 unit Screech. Rolling as fast as possible with his middle leg down, the droid wheeled over to Kali's XJ-Class X-Wing Derragon's Outsider Technicians on top of the X-Wing lifted the R2 unit up with a small vacuumlift and inserted it into the droid socket behind the canopy. Gavriel smiled as he looked to Kali, who saw his small wrist transmitter. Gavriel let go of Kali's hand and while running to keep pace with Luke, Gav turned his left hand over palm up to reveal a small stransmitter strapped to his wrist and activated a small button.:::...

Kali was running right behind Luke and Gav. She replaced her comlink and kept pace. When Gav used the wrist transmitter, Kali caught it. She smiled up at him when he looked back at her. She returned his smile with a brief one of her own. Kali had helped Gav slave the Justice a few days ago, but the wrist transmitter was totally new. "From what you taught me..." Gav said with a smile.:::...

...:::Kali's smile grew a bit wider. They rounded a corner and had to break eye contact though. She reached to the front of her tunic and began to undo the clasps that held it together. It wasn't something she wanted under her flight suit. Her eyes caught Gav's again as they raced down the corridor. "Glad I could help..." The small narrow hallway turned down some stairs and into a door at the end. The door lifted up and Luke, Gav, and kali emerged into the hangar bay.Gavriel could see the Justice and the Outsider a little ways away. Some Flight craft were already lifting off and exiting to the outside. Kali stepped through the doorway and shed her tunic. To their left was the pilot's ready room where her flightsuit and helmet were hung. She was releaved to see that Screech was in his socket and already had the Outsider powered up. They had to wait for another craft to take off before she could move over to the pilot's ready room. She slapped the door release hurridly and then slipped inside, tossing her tunic aside and grabbing her flight suit. Gavriel however was just fine flying in his Jedi tunic and robe. Climbing the flight ladder to the top of the TIE, he reaches inside and pulls out his small copper flight headset. Little more than a band reaching across his forehead with a small mic next to his mouth.:::...

...:::Kali's hands started to shake as she stepped into her flight suit. This wasn't a simulator, and it wasn't her and Gav up in space, messing around, training together. This was the real thing. And now, Kali started doubting her ability to fly and fight with the rest of them. She zipped the flight suit up, grabbed her helmet and ran out the room, tucking her braid into the back of the suit. The flight techs had the ladder ready and waiting for her on the Outsider. Gavriel activated the comline as he slipped inside of the cockpit. "Scoundrel to Princess, you picking me up?" Above him, the top of the cockpit sealed shut, Gavriel then engaged the restraints to hold him in place. Kali was strapping in when Gav's voice filled her ears. She flicked on the comlink. "Princess here... Reading you loud and clear." "Good. Remember Kali, just like in training. You can do this." Kali blew out a long breath, waiting for her turn in line to take off. "I hope so, Gav.... How many fighters do we have up there?" Then as if responding directly, the mission control voice came on. "We count Thirty enemy ships so far, but they are so small they are evading our turbolaser fire." Gavriel responded next. "We'll have to destroy them ship to ship." Mission control again chimed in. "We now count Sixty . . . Seventy . . ." Gavriel could feel the tension from the pilots and especially from Kali. "Just means we're more likely to hit some when we fire. This is Green Leader Green group, report in.". :::...

...:::Kali started powering up her sensors and getting the sheilds ready to turn on. It was almost her turn to lift off. She looked over out her canopy shield at Gav's ship. She waited till the channel cleared before she checked in. "Green Two standing by..."

Kyle couldn't believe this, not at all. All this time he and Katrina were finding Kasan out there in the galaxy and came up with nothing at all. Now, the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer which held Kasan appeared at Yavin just after Kyle was called back to the Academy. If irony was made of spice, then Kyle would be rich now. Kyle couldn't believe what he was seeing, two Imperials who were thought to be dead, Admiral Daala and Grand Moff Tarkin. Kyle had learned that he was the one who ordered the Death Star to fire upon Alderaan, and ultimately the murderer of his parents. But that didn't make his blood boil as of yet. Kyle's eyes had widened to see Kasan there, standing beside a cruel-looking Imperial officer with half of his face covered with metal.

Kyle clutched his fists and gritted his teeth tightly, not caring if Luke or anyone else had sensed his emotions. He did his best to control it, however. Katrina looked to her brother as she sensed Kyle's increasing anger, although not enough to cast Kyle into the Dark Side. When he heard Tarkin announcing that he would unleash the power of the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, Kyle knew that he must stop Tarkin and prevent what happened to Alderaan from happening to the only home and family he knew, the Jedi Academy. He had that determined look in his eyes, reminiscent to that of General Jake Landoran before he fought his battles in the Clone Wars. When Luke told them to all go to their battle stations, Kyle was one of the first to turn to the door. "Kat, we can't let them do to Yavin IV what they did to Alderaan.... And our parents." Kyle said, that grim resolve in his voice before he darts off for the main doors. She was on his heels, running after him, the day that Alderaan was destroyed playing over and over in her mind as she ran. She could feel her brother's emotions when Kasan Moor showed up on that screen. He was angry and trying to keep it at bay. Chasing after him, she said, "We'll stop them, but don't let your anger get to you Kyle!"

Seeing the Landoran Twins already making their way to their fighters, Jake and Tack followed them to their fighters as well. Kyle simply kept running towards the hangar where his XJ-Class X-Wing Starlight Wizard was waiting for him and Jake. He did acknowledge Katrina's words as she reminded him not to let anger get to him. He sighed for showing his anger, but he couldn't help it. "I know, Katrina. I won't fall for the Dark Side, I promise." Kyle replied. Katrina ran into the hanger right behind him. As Tack was loaded into the back of her E-Wing, she grabbed her helmet, seeing as she hadn't even taken off her flight suit since they'd been back. Grabbing her helmet, she shoved it down on her head and climbed up the ladder into her star fighter. Looking over at her brother, she gave him a thumbs up. Upon arriving in the hangar, Kyle ran quickly towards the Starlight Wizard. Upon boarding the X-Wing, he levitated Jake into the astromech pocket behind his cockpit. As Katrina gave him a thumbs up and looked over at him, Kyle returned the favor. "This is it, we are going in. May the Force be with you, Kat." Kyle thought to her as he puts on his flight helmet. He was just fine in his blue Jedi robe and cream tunic and pants. Kyle checked to see if he had his lightsaber with him, and it was always there, his own faithful lightsaber. Kyle closed his cockpit as Jake gave him some confirming beeps and whistles. He started his repulsor lifts as he followed the others to takeoff. The Starlight Wizard followed until it was clear of the hangar. Just moments before, Kyle fired up the four thruster engines, and the Starlight Wizard was fired up as it flew towards the orbit above Yavin IV. He was sure that Katrina was beside him or on his tail.

She was, after having got her own pre-flight checks in order. Pressing in her com commands, she said, "Simmer down brother... Quit thinking about Kasan Moor for now..." Kyle sighs as he flew closer into the orbit of Yavin IV, he could sense Kasan now. His vision had been true, as always. Kyle nodded to Katrina's voice over the com-link, smiling at his sister's wisdom as she was telling him things when she was just a Jedi Trainee. Kyle knew that she would make it very far as a Jedi, just like he would. He focused on his scanners and saw many craft on it. The wings of TIE Interceptor Mk IIs were beginning to be unleashed. Kyle's frame of mind returned to that of his Rogue Squadron days. "Alright, Kat, we got TIEs launched from the Star Destroyer. I believe you'd got yourself introduced to the TIE Interceptor Mk II, right?" Kyle said. "Yes, you bantha herder..."

"Great, how much do I like being called that..." Kyle replied to her, sarcasim in his voice. Since Kasan was shot down, he hardly said anything sarcastic as a joke, so this was a good sign. Kyle scrubbed that aside as he kept watching his scanners and kept himself focused in the Force. He hadn't fought the Empire like this since the end of the Galactic Civil War. Kyle remembered everything he knew about fighting the Imperials back in Rogue Squadron. "Alright, Kat. Stay sharp." Kyle spoke, as Jake gave a few whistles. Jaina was the leader of Blue Group, and Kyle decided to report to her. "This is Blue Three to Blue One, do you copy?" he said.

Kyle and Katrina could feel the tension here, as more and more TIE Interceptor Mk IIs were shown to be launched from the scanners......

Just like old times... Part One

Kasan Moor had no idea what was about to happen over Yavin IV... She was trapped in this little world that she knew would be ended soon if help didn't show up. She'd had alot of time to reflect on things. Standing, she walked over to the small cot, pulling at the skirt she'd been forced to wear. She turned as she heard the hiss of the door, narrowing her eyes as Talbot and two of his Stormtroopers entered.

Gritting her teeth, she said, "What do you want Talbot..."

Talbot smiled. It wasn't a large smile because of the facial scar tissue, but even then it carried a certain dark malice to it.

He motioned for the stormtroopers to leave. They left as Talbot closed the door behind him.

"How long has it been Kasan? Years? Decades?" His voice carried a mocking tone to it.

She scoffed slightly, looking him over,

"Not long enough... So, who'd you kill to get this job? Last time I checked, you were second rate to someone... Who was that again? Oh! Wait, I remember now... It was me!"

She stood defiant, never being afraid of him, at least, not letting him see it anyways.

Talbot's right fist slammed into Kasan's stomach. His smile never left his face. The force of the blow caused her to double over and cough heavily. He followed up that attack by grabbing her by the throat and threw her hard against the wall.

Kneeling down in front of her collapsed body, he grabbed her by the face. He stared intently into her eyes. His red robotic eye scanned her completly, checking her vitals. He didn't want to kill her, but he would make her suffer. Sufferring and pain. That was something he would do, and with great relish.

"Flatery will get you nowhere, Kasan. I stayed loyal to the Empire. Unlike you and your rebel scum. You betrayed everyone, and you betrayed me. How does it feel now?"

She gasped and tried to draw in breath, no easy feat when he had ahold of her face. Her hands went up, grabbed ahold of his and moved them enough so she could talk. Though it came out quiet and in short bursts,

"You're.... just angry.... because I never.... gave you..... the time of... day. You... weren't worth... it..."

Talbot sneered as he slapped her across the face. "I wasn't worth it? I am not the one who is sitting in this cell about to be executed as a traitor. You should have joined me and together we would have the power to destroy planets and rule the galaxy. Imagine an Empire that would last longer than the Emperor's Empire. Entire systems will shake in fear of us. But instead you decided to join with the rebel dogs. Tell me, Kasan, tell me about the bed you lie in. What sort of dog have you soiled yourself with?"

She looked up at him then, the fire that burned in her, rose to her eyes. She couldn't stand the thought of anyone degrading Kyle and with a well placed foot, shoved it hard into his groin, sending him sprawling backwards. Pushing herself against the wall, she rose and looked down at him. Breathing hard, she growled out, "You'll say nothing of the sort about him!"

Talbot clutched his groin and began to laugh. It started out low then began to rise in pitch and force as he stood up. Finally standing up straight he rushed over and grabbed Kasan by the throat. Lifting her high in the air he began to close his fingers around her neck.

"I must have hit a real nerve. Don't like it when I talk about your rebel dog like that? Tell me, Kasan. Which is worth more to you? Your life, or the life of your unborn child? Which corpse will I deliver to your... dog? Yours or your bastard childs?"

She looked down at him, her lips taking on a blue hue. Her legs kicked beneath her as she took ahold of his arms. No one had known she was pregnant, not even Kyle, so how did he know. The shock rolled through her eyes as she looked at him.

Talbot saw the look in her eyes. It was a look that he reconized a look that anyone would reconize. The medical droids had told him everything when they had scanned her as part of normal procedure. She was with child, but only a month along. But that look... that look in her eyes. Talbot's grin threatened to strech his entire face.

    "He doesn't know does he?"

Talbot continued to smile as he released her. Kasan crumbled to the floor like a rag doll. Kneeling down in front of her, he leaned close to her ear and began to talk very softly.

"You never told him that you are pregnant. This is interesting... yes, very interesting. Your dog won't let anything happen to you or his child. You just might prove very useful to me. Very useful."

She shook her head, gasping again for air. She looked at him, bracing herself with one hand as she crossed the other one across her bare stomach. She wanted nothing more then to tear him limb for limb and probably would have tried, if not for the fact that she was pregnant. Gaining some composure, she said,

"I'll never tell you who the father is... Never!"

Talbot planted his boot on her neck. Pushing down on it he planted her face against the floor.

"I'm going to enjoy getting that information from you. And then killing him right before your-"

Suddenly the cell's door slide open to reveal a officer and two stormtroopers.

Talbot turned to the three men. "What do you want?" He growled.

The officer saluted. "Sir, pardon the interuption. But Grand Moff Tarkin requests you and the prisoner's presence on the bridge immediatly."

Talbot sighed and lifted his boot from Kasan's neck. "Very well. Looks like we will have to continue the interogation later, Kasan."

    He motioned to the stormtroopers.

"Take the prisoner to the bridge."

The two stormtroopers walked inside and grabbed Kasan by the shoulders. Following Talbot outside they dragged her along with them. The officer looked at the bruises and blood splatters on Kasan's face.

"Sir, shouldn't we clean her up before the Grand Moff sees her?" He asked.

Talbot looked at the officer and then at Kasan. "No. No sense cleaning her up. I'm not finished with her... yet."

    Chaos.

Once more there was chaos. The same ship he had seen twice before was seen or showed up on radar, it had whiped out two of what had once been the dynasties of the Adepti training grounds. Why, or what ever it was the Adepti including him had no clear idea what it was besides it was a large ship, with guns, fighters and was leathal.

Tae had never mastered the use of spacecraft thus he knew little about how to use hyperdrive or even how to calibrate them to where or should these jedi be going to. In under a few minutes, Tae was take aside by an older Jedi and led to a ship which could occupy more than one person.

It was frieghter or somekind of large transport, but not a cruiser something smaller perhaps maybe a dropship. Once aboard Tae could only listen and put on his restraints as the ship raced to catch up with the others in the escape from this now doomed planet. A few other Padewans and there masters were nearby or were supposedly Jedi knights.

They could not tell what he was but Tae knew Luke understood what and who he was...Tae tended to assume things which was a flaw in the Adepti training. Assuming was without solid knowledge. The jedi held to knowledge, truth and a few other things that tae had to learn from. Tae wasn't stupid and knew of the history of the Adepti from when it had first formed.

How the Adepti had originally formed was merely in myth or long forgotten, rumours were that it was a Jedi group who learned there was another power instead of the force and had experimented and learnt how to master it in long time. Others soon had smaller powers that needed training to control it properly, after a time the Adepti had grown and forgot about the Jedi training and switch to Adepti ways instead.

A millenia passed, then like all good things comming to an end, evil spawned out from good and thus the Dark Adepti were born. Fighting occured on their original homeworld, chaos. Thousands died, betrayal was rampant. A small group holding true to their oaths managed to make use of an old ship and escape the carnage and genocide.

Aided by a few Jedi who gave them asylum, the bonds of Jedi and Adepti grew. But most contact was kept strictly unrecorded and hidden from those who didn't know. Even the republic knew of no such thing as the Adepti and the Jedi knew of the Adeptis sacrifice through during the first war plus danger should they have been revealed.

Then, thinking there was peace the Adepti vanished into shadow, but they were not fogotten by the Jedi, contact was faint but until the clone wars errupted. The Adepti came once again seeking sadly asylum from their hated enemy wich had grown to dangerous levels. The Adepti were again in the hands of the Jedi, the Jedi gave their service in obliterating the Dark Adepti and saving the Adepti from extinction.

Such a debt even in the eyes of any Adepti could never have been fully repayed. During the clone wars, the Adepti prooved their worth and also through this showed their flaws as well as traits. Back then the flaws were mere cracks of some recklessness. Now, they were crevices and without the right training which was lost after the clone war. Tae was the out come of it.

Following the small strands of information Tae had ended here, once again the last Adepti was in the hands of the Jedi, the soul creator of that race or being. The Adepti did not believe in the force but another power. Sadly though the knowledge of it had faded to the point where it could never fully be taught with perfection.

Tae knew he would have to go back to the very roots of the Adepti, the Jedi and Adepti differed through both weapons and close combat techniques. Tae had been taught this, but it was hit powers within that caused him great failure. Luke had done a excellent job in creating a place and passing on his knowledge to enable other Jedi to become perfect in everyway.

He had foud the source where the first Adepti had come from. Though the master from long ago were against it, deep down they knew their ties with the jedi were and dated back a long time. The ship jolted a few more times brining Taes thoughts back to the present.

A Jedi knight whom which wasn't human was looking at him and was sitting opposite caught his attention, it was clear he was going to ask him something. "You do not seem to be connected with theforce how is this?" he asked him, Tae merely answered.

"Its an Adepti thing, your powers differ to mine. Thats why your Main Master (Luke) knows why i came." he answered vaguely, at the current time he was uncomfortable in giving personal information about where he came from and what he was but he knew this would pass in time. He was cautious around these Jedi beings. After a while Tae relaxed a bt and was more conversational.

He exchanged names and learnt of the Jedi Knights own, Gehrand was the knights name. As the ship which they were in flew, Tae waited with patience until the ride was over. He was still looking around the place, obviously not used to such space aboard such a vessel.

    Ok, now Devan was interested.

He could only gawk at what had beaten him to the planet he had been instructed to go too. Unlike the Jedi that were already there he was not expected. He was consumed with turmoil about whether it would be safe to land there or not, but quickly he decided that slipping in amidst the chaos was a good idea. He wasn't expected so he might as well just show up. Perhaps he would attempt to see if he was stealthy enough to come up on Luke Skywalker without him knowing. Or perhaps Luke was actually as powerful as everyone said. If that was the case he would quickly jump in line to learn from him. His experiences in the cell were proof of his need for power. He would never allow himself to be weak enough for that again.

The battered X-Wing shot past the destroyer and headed down towards the temple. He made haste in landing it and walked inside. Though Devan was unaware of how he looked it was almost certain that the members of this academy would be. Devan had just walked in with a deactivated Sith style lightsaber wearing a black hood and cape. However, Devan knew little of the code of the Jedi or Sith. He wasn't aware of how they appeared or even the extent of what a Sith's power inevitably does to their own body. He had only scratched the surface of Jedi history and even his own potential. What his force training lacked he made up for in raw power and skill with a staff. It defintely seemed like the place was buzzing with life. He watched as several individuals rushed right passed him; probably trying to get ready for whatever the Star Destroyer was here for.

"Uh, hey do you know where Master Skywalker is?" Devan stated to a woman who flew passed him. "..Nevermind."

    Gee, friendly place.

So he did the only thing he could and kept moving forward. He had a feeling Luke was this way. Perhaps he should not consume his time while they had trouble on their hands. He would find Skywalker, and he would wait and watch.

Renn heard the voice and ran out of the training room. Well at least now he wouldn't have to put up with the cold. He continued on his way to the hangar, dodging past the others.

He hoped into his XJ Class X-wing and flicked on the repulsor lift coils as he pulled on a helmet. He blasted out of there after his astromech got into his canopy behind behind him. Once in space he decided to join Green Squadron as he activated his thrusters.

He waited for a moment just to be safe that the no one else was speaking on the channel. Once he was certain that it was clear he said, "Green Three, here. Let's fry us some Imps."

Renn really wasn't that much of a pilot, sure he knew how to fly and do some tricks but most of his tricks weren't good in a dog fight. He hoped that if he got into a dogfight and couldn't shake an attacker that someone should be able to find him. After all how many people had a pure silver X-wing?

Once several enemies appeared on his scanners he cursed under his breath. This may not be that easy at all. He had to remain focused with the Force and keep his eyes on his scanner. Those were the tricks to staying alive. He heard his droid whistle worriedly.

"Hey, we'll be fine. Don't worry. I've been in worse scraps than this before."

WE WON'T BE IF YOU DON'T TURN ON THE SHIELDS! came the droid's reply.

"I thought you had that? I'll do it, what good are you than if you don't check with that at the beginning?"

    PLEASE TURN ON THE SHIELDS.

"Sheesh is it nag, nag, nag with you?" Renn muttered as he activated the shields.

    WHAT WAS THAT?

    "Nothing, nothing."

He could do this, he had to do this. He knew someone else's life was in stake. A true Jedi would give up his own life to save another, why should this be any different?

Zarx looked at the scanner he was about to hit the atmosphere he was sweating. Zarx had had no reply from Yavin IV and he was out of time. He could steer the Manta out back into space and into the conflict, but he didn’t have any weapons or he could attempt to crash land on the moon and hope that he would stay in one piece. He had long given up on getting a profit on this run he would have to refit the entire Manta and most of the parts would have to be custom made. Zarx looked at the rear sensor screen that showed the incoming ships and the Eclipse Class as little dots and one giant big one.
“Caught between a Bantha and a Krayt Dragon what are the odds” he murmured and looked down at his display then up at the approaching X-wings and made his choice he opened a channel to the X-wings one last time hopping that they
“This is the Manta calling Jedi X-wings. There is a Jedi aboard do not open fire on us I repeat do not fire upon us” he checked his scopes “I have lost control of my landing gears and most of my weapon systems requesting permission to make emergency landing over” Not waiting for a reply Zarx gunned the engines sending the Manta forwards to towards the jungle moon. He just hoped he had chosen the right place.

Ooc: I won’t be able to post from now on till Monday 11th. Somebody can take control of my character till then.
