Sev had bacon and pancakes and added a lot of maple syrup. "I want this everyday!" Sev said and suddenly all his fear and worries were gone. It was as though Bacon and Pancakes were magical. Sev was never happier. Sev also tried various juices and it was his first time with watermelon juice. Sev had a feeling that something was approaching, but he was now able to control himself and ignore all the distractions. Bacon had higher priorities.
A police car stopped outside iHop and the door opened. A man exited and made a phone call and minutes later a few other police cars arrived and the sheriff exited the car and nodded at the man and they walked towards iHop.
Bob went to the toilet and he saw several police cars outside as he was washing his hands. As he was exiting the toilet, a lady covered his mouth and punched him in the gut. He felt something rip inside and was in pain and saw the lady changing into his features. "So... you are Bob... and you still smell like an old cop... " She said and kissed Bob and squeezed him.
Bob grabbed his tazer and shocked her and was dropped to the ground. Bob staggered out of the toilet and saw Sev and shouted. "Run!" and then the lady covered his mouth and punched his back and Bob could not feel his legs. "I could have snapped your neck..." Bob was shocked as she now looks like him and she grabbed his head and smashed it on the wall and everything went black.
Upon all hell suddenly breaking loose, Alice raised an eyebrow. "What the hell, Grey? Why didn't you call sooner!"
"I-" before Grey could come up with an excuse, he found himself in a completely different location.
"Jesus!" There was a clatter as a bowl of popcorn fell to the floor. "Grey!?"
Suddenly, Grey's ribs were being crushed. "Oh, God," he gasped. "Roslyn?"
Alice had sent him to her house, where Roslyn, his fiance, currently lived. He hugged her back, holding her close, and then Sev appeared on the couch behind her.
Roslyn released Grey to see who else was there. "...Hello, sudden child." Roslyn was a little younger than Grey, but they'd known each other a few years now.
"Yeah, nice try," said Alice, kicking the shape shifter in the bathroom who was pretending to be an unconscious Bob. As the shape shifter moved to grab her, Alice danced around it, kicking a stall door open and finding the real Bob. She took his hand and they instantly returned to her living room. With some help from Grey, she put Bob on the couch.
"Alrighty..." Alice sat down next to Sev with a friendly smile. "You're safe here, okay kid? NO ONE can enter my property of I don't want them to. I'm a Devil. I can do whatever I want. In fact, I just moved my house to the middle of nowhere. Cool, huh? No one can hurt you as long as you're here."
Sev was enjoying his meal and heard "Run" but he did not see where it was coming from. Sev was scared for a moment and suddenly appeared on the couch. "Wait.. .I did not do this..." Sev muttered. Moments later, Sev saw Bob on the couch unconscious and a lady sitting next to him. "You're safe here, okay kid? NO ONE can enter my property of I don't want them to. I'm a Devil. I can do whatever I want. In fact, I just moved my house to the middle of nowhere. Cool, huh? No one can hurt you as long as you're here."
Sev was still confused. He did not know what a Devil was and did not like it here as he felt disconnected to the upside down. Perhaps it was a good thing, but it was different. Sev hugged Bob and looked at the lady, not sure if he should trust her.
The cops and the sheriff entered the restaurant they looked around and could not find Bob and the others. The lady exited the toilet and said, "They got away. Someone is helping them." The sheriff nodded and they exited the restaurant and got into their cars and drove away.
Sev was unfamiliar with this place and Bob was unresponsive. Sev walked over and grabbed Grey's hand and stared at the lady. Sev's senses were heightened and he felt uneasy. Sev was not sure if it was because he could not feel the upside down or it may be because of the lady, but Sev could feel his heartbeat getting faster.
Grey sat down on the couch next to Bob. Just being in this house gave him such a sense of relief, like a weight was lifted from him, but a feeling of guilt rose to replace it. He couldn't pin down where exactly it came from. There were all sorts of things contributing to it. To make matters even more complicated, half of it was from before the current mess even began.
Sev on the other hand, seemed uneasy.
"Roslyn, I want you to meet Seven. He's... honestly, he's like my little brother. Sev, Roslyn and I are very close."
Sev hid behind Grey and peeped at the lady. Sev was worried about Bob and the sensation of being disconnected from the upside down means he was unable to use his powers and it made him nervous and scared. Perhaps it was time for him to feel normal again, but still he felt that something was going on while he was in this place.
Orcus looked at a pale looking lady. He checked on her tattoo on her arm. "17..." Orcus muttered. "Finally, I have you here... " Orcus placed a slub into her mouth. "You are pretty hard to find and you took out the national guards sent to get you... Such a pity, now I can't have you do wonderful things for me, "The lady woke up and Orcus gestured to her and gave her some instructions to carry out his businesses.
Sev wasn't just being shy. Something was up. "Sev, are you alright? Is something wrong?" Grey wanted Sev to feel as safe as he did here.
Roslyn also looked a little worried about Sev. She wasn't completely human either, but she was born that way without the aid of science. Like Grey, she had an alternate form, but unlike Grey, she had complete control of it. She also had the ability to accurately read emotions. As a kind soul, this was one of the things that had drawn her and Grey together.
Alice interrupted. "Thomas," (one of Grey's alternate names) "what are you planning? What do you want to do?"
